If I was wealthy I would give a team wide NIL to softball to fully cover the other 13 scholarships beyond the 12 that CD has to divide among the team. So basically $390k per year.Or maybe I would sweeten it up and make it an even $500k per year so CD could give a little extra to the kids that would get full rides currently. If any of the girls gets financial aid or academic scholarships, they would just pocket that money. I think that would have a huge impact on the players CD could get. I don't know how the 12 scholarships are currently divvied up but I imagine starting pitchers and the starting catcher and maybe big bats like Ellis get the full rides but not full Cost of Attendance and an instate freshman like Jayden Wells and Kasey Wood gets maybe $5-10k.
Now imagine if she could tell every recruit, even a utility infielder, that they are getting a full cost of attendance scholarship like an elite pitcher at any other school will get. And if they are an elite player CD can give them extra and every player  can pocket any financial aid or academic scholarships. Also the star players would be able to get other NIL deals. I think that would put us in OU territory. Their highest NIL amount is $63k per year per On3.

Fland is an athletic guard who can shoot and create his own shot. He's also pretty solid at stealing the ball. He'd fit in well with what I know about Pope's style of play.

Boogie Fland ('24) is a stud. The kid is everything you would ever want in a PG. There is nothing he isn't good at. If there's a better PG/CG in the class, I would like to see him.

Fland is nothing like Ashton Hagans as a player and thankfully person. Boogie is a well respected leader who is very mature for his age (again he's age of a HS Jr/25 class member) and will be a fine addition to the program. I'd compare him to Quickley/Knight combo regarding past UK guards.

You all think Boogie will honor his NLI? Hope Pope calls him quick. He would be great in the offense.

Fland is the type of point guard you want every year. Highly skilled, team oriented and a winner. Couldn't ask for a better 1 IMO.

I hope he throws a wad of cash at boogie fland and keeps him, then I hope he comes in a blows up next year and gets drafted too 10! That would help send the proper message to the elite talent!

If that is true all our starters, in fact, our top 6 players are gone.  That will put Arkansas at the bottom of the SEC and there is no recovery from the bottom.  That is because, if you can't win, there is no NIL and you can't sell tickets.  Moreover no SEC quality player will sign with a college, with no NIL, with few fans, and that can't win.  Therefore, once you are on the bottom, that is where you stay.  Perhaps once in 20 years, our two star players will be much better than their high school rating and the team can win which will turn things around.  However, I will never see it.

There will be more than a hundred 2 star players that entered the portal thinking they are 4 and 5 star players.  When they become desperate because no one is picking them up, they are the players we will fill our roster with.
