I am glad I was never a band geek so i wouldn't have to be bitter the rest of my life due to the ridicule I received while growing up.

I'm glad you all hate us so much but I think you have a few things backward.  Arkansas is the state know for having toothless rednecks.  Every team has something they do over and over during the game.  It's called a fight song and if your team had any history with it what so ever you would have known that.

Oh yeah, get over the past.  You say Alabama still holds on to the bear and then you all start talking about games in the 70's and 90's.  Get over it and join us in 2006.

Go Vols!

Still sore about the ass kicking last Saturday I see?

Get the lube out, you're about to get another one.

But seriously 137, have you ever spoken to a woman without first having to give her your credit card number?

What is the most common phrase uttered by a Vol when she loses her virginity?

Ow daddy, get off, you're crushing my cigarettes.

damn you really know how to lay it on

Mine started when Fat phil was arrogant after the 98 game, acting like the vols deserved to win that game, with no credit to the Hogs.

Ditto!

"That's why you want something a little different", says Nutt entering his 9th season on the hill.
"You look at Florida last year," Nutt says.  "They struggled with their offense because of change...overhaul change.  Change is hard."

Rocky Top                        It was written in 10 minutes in 1967

Wish that I was on ol' Rocky Top
Down in the Tennessee hills
Aint' no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top
Ain't no telephone bills
Once I had a girl on Rocky Top
Half bear, other half cat
Wild as a mink,
but sweet as soda pop
I still dream about that.

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top
Lookin' for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top
Reckon they never will

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top
Dirt's too rocky by far
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top
Get their corn from a jar

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

I've had years of cramped-up city life
Trapped like a duck in a pen
All I know is it's a pity life
Can't be simple again

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee

Prior to 1976 I'd always thought that Ark and Tenn folks were pretty similar... heritage and all that.  But in 76 I had a mechanical engineering prof at the UofA for a 3hr course who was from Tenn.  That Mooder Fokker hated Ark guys from farming backgrounds (me) and never ever gave me a fair shot at tests, etc.  I finished with a D for his course and to this freaking day anyone from Tenn (other than some beloved cousins who live there) I cannot stand.

LOL!  I find this thread amusing due to some of the threads like this^.  Sounds like you are really grasping for straws there buddy!

But, on a more serious note, for anyone who has ever been treated unkindly at Neyland Stadium I do apologize!  I am a die-hard UT fan but I will admit we have our share of classless fans.  I hate that any one person from TN would ever leave a lasting impression that some of you guys have stated.  However, not all UT fans are such arrogant and classless pricks.

I'm also sorry that many of you seem to hate the Vol team as a whole.  I guess I just don't share the same hatred as you guys do.  I think its great that Ark is having such a strong season.  The more SEC teams we can get in the top 25 the more it proves that our conference is the strongest in the nation!  I'm looking forward to a great game this weekend!  Good luck guys!  Hopefully your dislike for TN will change!

P.S.------Please tell D MAC to take it easy on us this Sat!!!

Thanks Hogs 25, a little over 2 days to go, and I can't wait to hear this Great Song.  Hopefully we score early and often, and the band get's alot of chances to play it.

UT ...........orange..............border state...............razorback since birth.....nuff said

GolfnHog

As with all venues, some fans are total idiots and we all have "war stories" to that effect. I've been fortunate in the fact that I've always had friends and associates from other schools that we meet up with and reminisce, trash talk, etc.. but at the end of the day, slap each other on the back and do it all over again the next year if the schedules of games permits.
I truly feel, we hold more of a kinship, rivalry w/ Tn versus S. Car due to our states bordering one another... but it is what it is.
(Hey I spent 25 years in the Texas Highway Patrol (yes, native Razorback) 17 yrs as a Trooper, last 8 as a supervisor. Every day on the road I got my revenge w/ TX fans.... I had a two sided clipboard and each side had a RED Razorback on it, so each violator got to "sign here, press hard, 3 copies" and know that that a true, blood red Razorback had ruined their day due to their own actions. That and each time the Hogs came into TX to play I was assigned as the TX. State Trooper that was assigned to the Hogs. So in the end, not all things in TX were that bad!!!! ;D :razorback:
Have you ever listened to someone  or read what they put into thoughts and wondered...."who ties your shoelaces for you?"

You'd lose the bet on singing Rocky Top, (I once had to sing it to an Army Sargeant Major dangling above water, before I could drop after fininshing an obstacle course, if I didn't sing every verse I had to rerun the obstacle course)

I think we win if:
1.  If we hold Mcfadden to less than a hundred and one score
2.  We get 80 to 100 yards from Coker/Foster
3.  Crompton has no int's.
