It's obvious that the Hog-Gamecock outcome will determine the network...

ESPN?

...or Lincoln Financial.

BloodRedHog

Sounds like if we beat the ole Ball Coach, we are on CBS.

CBS has first choice (not one of the two weekends ESPN has first choice), so that means GameDay is not happening.

With CBS taking the first pick, that hurts 'Gameday' chances some.   If both TN and AR win Saturday, CBS will probably take our game.

If either one loses, sounds like ESPN will take it.   But if Arkansas or TN stumbles this weekend, will they still want to send the 'Gameday' crew to Fayetteville?

i hate to spread rumors or anything like that...  and i don't know if this has any sort of meaning at all.

but i just left Geno's pizza on dickson and two guys were sitting at the table next to me and my buddy on laptops and talking on their cell phones the whole time.  They were both dress in business casual, and they both had ESPN nametags.   That could mean absolutely nothing, but i found it interesting nonetheless.  We wanted to ask them what they were doing in fayetteville, but neither of us did.  maybe they are just scouting things out, or preparing for for the option of gameday here???  no clue, just thought i'd pass it along.

I agree.  It hurts, but it doesn't prevent.   If ESPN carries the game, even if one of us loses, will they still promote a game on CBS?   Its happened, but its rare.

If they have motel rooms in 3 different locations for Gameday possibilities..............They could have been here for scouting reasons................

Psst...

Lincoln Financial = Raycom (in case you hadn't noticed).

Not to worry, it will be either CBS or ESPN, though.

Game Day can still be here even if CBS picks up the game. They were at Auburn when they played LSU and it was a CBS game.

otownhawg

CBS picking our game does not hurt our Gameday chances.  ESPN does not have to cover the actual game for the Gameday Presentation to come to Fayetteville.

Gameday is probably not likely anyway.  They were at USC last weekend for Tinner and I don't see them doing Tennessee 2 out of 3 weeks.

I just talked to my account rep at THV, and they have said that CBS is using its 6-day window to decide on the ARK/Tenn game. It is between:

Ark/Tenn

South Carolina/Florida

Georgia/Auburn

Alabama/LSU

Just letting you know...

GAMEDAY was at the auburn florida game covered on CBS so just because we're on CBS doesn't mean we don't get gameday. the fact that they cover tenn at USC may determine it more than which network covers it. but it was TENN at USC

Man there is a lot of total BullSh!t in the threads above.  First it's "well if the game is on CBS then ESPN won't"....bull.  Then it's "well I doubt ESPN will cover SC 2 weeks outta 3".....more bullsh!t.  Here's the skinny on gameday...NOBODY including the announcers, knows yet and that came per the local ESPN affiliate in Ruston La.  Sean Fox is the owner and after becoming EXTREMELY exacerbated with folks posting speculation; I gave him a call, and he in turn called a producer w/gameday.  The producer says that they will not know until lsu/tenn and ark/sc results are in.  He said that they are scouting 3 locations for the Nov. 11th week-end.  Anyone who would like Sean's # to verify the info PM me and I'll let you talk to him as well.

BigArkyintheRock

Simple. If the Hogs and Vols win this saturday, they will both likely be ranked in the Top 10 and I have to believe that Gameday will be in Fayetteville for that battle. If one or both teams lose this sat....then no Gameday.

Makes sense~

Gameday is in College Station this week for ATM/OU.  Scraping the bottom of the barrel there if you ask me.  It's now up to them to make the right choice and schedule a Fayetteville trip in two weeks.  No brainer if you ask me, regardless of CBS coverage which is not set in stone yet.
