Game on - St. John's threatening in the bottom of the 1st.

Man on 2nd, 0 out

What do you want to see today?

GatorHog

Connor Costello on the mound for OSU, 2.13 ERA in 25.1 innings on the year

OSU just pulled off a ridiculous double play, next batter goes down for out 3

razorbackfan86

nice play by the OSU rf. Strong arm.

Would like to see a lot of pitchers get used. maybe a long game?

Southpaw Hawg

What do we want to see out of this game?  An extra inning slugfest that uses up every available arm to stay alive.  Hope whoever wins has to scratch their head and ask for volunteers to take the mound!!

GatorHog

SJU has Kalica on the mound - probably their least-effective starter, with a 4.53 ERA in 53.2 innings pitched.

I want a long, extra innings game no matter who wins.

And all 6 outs have been via the flyball.

Like to see 12-11 St. John's win. Plenty of pitchers used

I want a slugfest, but SJU winning. I don't see there being any way SJU has the arms to beat us twice. I think OSU does, though. We want to see Reed, Cobb, or Nurdin today in this first game.

What do I want to see?

Either a 16 inning slugfest, or a SJU blowout, making tonight a home crowd for the Hogs.

Maybe a benches clearing brawl between OSU and SJU, with lots of ejections and suspensions.

GatorHog

Did OSU pitch Perrin in their opener?

Costello fields a grounder for out 2

Yes.

GatorHog

Costello gets his first K for out 3 -- scoreless going into inning 3

Looking at OSU's stats, they've got a lot of arms, hope SJU starts getting hot at the plate soon

GatorHog

Sluder (.310) base hit to straightaway center to lead off the OSU half of the 3rd

GatorHog

8-hole hitter follows up with a single, men on 1st and 2nd, nobody out for OSU

GatorHog

9-hole hitter sac bunts successfully, out at 1st

razorbackfan86

OSU was able to get out of a jam in the 1st. Lets see if SJU can do the same in the 3rd.

GatorHog

The Clapper returns.  Lord let SJU win

GatorHog

Leadoff hitter Gage Green lines out to 1B, 2 down

GatorHog

Passed ball, runner from third scores 1-0 OSU

GatorHog

Had to watch with the volume down last night

GatorHog

9-hole hitter flies out to CF after a long battle at the plate, 2 down for SJU, man on first

GatorHog

OSU starting pitcher Costello is a former hog, but I hope he gets rocked!

GatorHog

FC, out at 2nd to end the inning

Top 4, 1-0 OSU

GatorHog

Heart of the lineup due up for the pokes

GatorHog

GatorHog

Cleanup hitter Dustin Williams singles to RF

GatorHog

GatorHog

Looks like OSU had a hit-and-run on, throw was in time, but no tag

AirForceHog

Seems like the starting pitching for both teams are doing well so far. Hope both teams start getting base hits in bunches.
If it turns, burns, banks or rolls, crew chiefs made it happen.

GatorHog

Tim Arakawa draws a walk, 2 on, 1 down for the 6-spot
