But it's early in the season. Hopefully we learn from this.

Man does this give the haters some legitimate things to complain about though.

Yeah.  I figure they can have until tomorrow, then things can get cleaned up a bit.

This is not going to be MMQB the Sequel, though.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Key phrase there is "legitimate things to complain about".
Let us then turn this government back into the channel in which the framers of the Constitution originally placed it.  Abraham Lincoln, 1858

Yeah. I mean, the game was handed to us in a platter.

Bad turnovers, bad shooting, out of control in the lane.

There are very legitimate things to complain about. I'm frustrated as hell.

But there is a group of folks who have been wanting MA to fail from the get go. They're gonna be all over this. They fail to recognize that good teams can have a stretch where they play a couple of bad games on the road.

This was a bad game, no doubt. I'm still pulling for them though. And I think they've got the talent and coaching to get it done. We've got to improve though. There's no doubt about that. We are behind where I'd like to be today. But I'll judge Mike by where we are at the end of the year.

Yep, fixing to move some threads now

Hopefully the end of game experience will help although we can put a lot of experience on the court who should understand how to close games.

Team is still too incomplete in the sense of being an "Anderson" team.  The best offensive players right now aren't good defenders and the best defenders aren't offensive threats yet.  Perhaps the next recruiting class gets him closer.  I doubt Fr and transfers have huge impacts in SEC play where it is more physical and teams are familiar with us.  We can hope though.

This team just can't play the defense necessary to play what Mike tries to do.
Quote from: MaconBacon on March 22, 2018, 10:30:04 amWe had a good run in the 90's and one NC and now the whole state still laments that we are a top seed program and have kids standing in line to come to good ole Arkansas.  We're just a flash in the pan boys.

There's gonna be times when a team gets hot or cold. I'd rather us have a cold spell now and get hot and start gelling at the end of the year. Win the sec tourney and the NCAA tournament is a lock!  8)

yeah, for the week our 2 starting guards were 3 -11 fg's and 9 turnovers for the point guard and 5-16 fg's and 4 to's for the shooting guard.

Now gonna win with 8-26 fg's from your shooters with 13 turnovers.... Not saying the rest played well but that's hard to overcome.

Bench brought nothing offensively today.

Only +1 in turnover margin.

6-21 from 3.

And this wasn't a road game where they were at a FT disadvantage.

Portis shot 2 3's but 0 FTs.

we have absolutely no inside game, people want Moses on the inside but he got no rebounds today, none against ISU.. that's over 20 minutes of play and 0 rebounds for our 6-9 center.

Also, we really need some guards... maybe Beard and Babb will grow up fast, because what we have ain't working.
