Quote"There were days I was just in my room just thinking to myself like what am I gonna do now?" Johnson said. "I used to get miserable. I actually used to want to leave. I used to call and talk to my teachers and I used to tell them I want to go. I was too busy trying to be somebody else everybody else wanted me to be instead of being myself and I wish I could redo that over and also really just play football."

After a promising spring campaign in 2015, Johnson was thought of as one of the premier quarterbacks in the country, and was named second-team All-SEC in the preseason. But he struggled mightily at the start of 2015, resulting in an early-season benching after a loss at LSU.

He participated in his pro day last month at Auburn and is listed at 6 foot 5 and 234 pounds.

Johnson spoke at his alma mater at Carver High School in Montgomery and talked to Maria Martin of WSFA.
