Saw the Florida article on the trip earlier today.  I believe this is a dead period for recruiting if I'm not mistaken.

As for Sanchez, I still believe prep school first, Arkansas second, UK third, and no one else.  The call of the SEC might be too great to go the prep route one year.  Let's hope so...

That sounds good.

i don't understand why one would go to prep school if the schools he was hoping for were offering, and he was academically qualified. if he is not ready, then just red-shirt. also, with all of the questions about prep schools, why risk it if you didn't have to. the NCAA is capable of coming out and saying that they are all no good at the drop of a hat.

Ireland...that's one of the places I haven't been to yet. I wonder if I can play golf with them if I go?

What is the start of the prep school for Sanchez?
Does he think it will improve his stock?  I would think your home state school (Arkansas) and Kentucky would be big time enough.
Or, does he want to improve his game so he'll be ready to play and not sit at the next level?

There was a forward last year who turned a scholie from Kentucky and went to Prep School.  If he was any good at all he would have got lots of PT last year and been in tall cotton this year.

Prep school - play immediately, get better by playing against top competition, be ready to play significant minutes as a freshman

Arkansas\Kentucky - Redshirt or play sparingly, try to get better in the weight room and practice

Sanchez is over rated. LaDustin Williams of Jonesboro is the guy Pelphrey should have been all over, but he just signed with UAFS last week.

oh yeah i forgot.

We dont like getting players from Springdale.

We would be lucky to get Sanchez. He has been doing really really well in the AAU tournaments.

Wake Forrest and this school named Kentucky wants Sanchez.

I'm tempted to go looking for them.  Hell, if they're in my neighborhood, I might as well :)
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Kentucky has 1.0 PPG total returning in the "4" and "5" spots and no significant recruit signed in either position as of this posting.  Morris is playing in the NBA and 3 other seniors graduated out of "4" and "5".

However, Prep School has benefited some.  As posted there are some risks in choosing the right one.

ASU was recruiting LaDustin, and have you ever seen this kid play? If you have, then you would know why I'm telling you Pelphrey is missing out. Hopefully Pelphrey will recognize him at Fort Smith. He can do anything on the offensive end of the court, it's his defensive skills that weighs down his overall talent.

LaDustin is the best player on the best team in the state. All I'm trying to say is Sanchez is over rated and LaDustin deserves just as much attention as Sanchez is getting.

There is probably a reason he is going to fort smith. If he was actually good enough to be recruited by big time schools he would have gone to a big time school. He's probably either not good enough, or his grades are a problem.

Actually, his ACT isn't high enough to attend Arkansas or even ASU. I'm telling you though, this kid has some unbeleivable talent. There was an article on him today in the Jonesboro sun.

The Prep School route will soon be shut down by the NCAA, that may have a lot to do with it.

Beleive what you want I guess, but when LD is done with UAFS, look for him to be in a major conference. And look for Sanchez to be a huge bust. I've seen both of them play many times; I know what I'm talking about.

I didn't say that. When I said I know what I'm talking about, I was implying that I know what I'm talking about more than you do. Whatever thoe, just remember that you heard it from me when you see Sanchez with zero playing time in the SEC or any other major conference and LaDustin's name all over the Fort Smith sports section for the next couple of years.

Sanchez at one point was rated a 4 star player by rivals and I think #78 in the top100 till he hurt his knee. He is getting back to where he was, and is dominating the AAU scene. He will be a good player.

Then why bring it up? Are you related or something?
If he's not academically eligible then he is a non factor for the Hogs.

Wow he must be BIG time if he's all over the news in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Mike Sanchez will be on the depth chart for an SEC team.

Yes thats division one and in a big time conference.
MIke will be playing behind the SEC defensive player of the year and a couple players who have been through the wars in the SEC.

Your boy from Jonesboro will be playing in Junior College. BIG difference.
SOnny played there but at least he was recruited by some big schools even before he went to UAFS.

And yeah you're pretty much saying you know more about basketball prospects than those coaches because they actually want Sanchez, they dont want your big brother from Jonesboro.

The more time Pel spends with Billy D the better, in my opinion. This is not "down time".  Just being with a great coach like that will be enriching for Pelph.

He's probably on the Arkansas coaches radar.  They may already know about the academics and have suggested he go to UAFS.  Get Sanchez this season and LaDustin in two years.  That way the talent is spread out and you don't lose too much with any graduating class.

Which explains why he wasnt recruited hard by anyone
