Everyone knew this and that is the reason all the other schools backed off him. But not us! Heck now we sound like motho in recruiting. Improve those recruiting rankings to pacify the fan base even though you know there is no way that player will make it. Brilliant.

If I were the coach, and I'm not, I wouldn't worry much about what the fanbase thinks. I'd worry about winning games and what the folks that sign my check think.

Based on the APR number problems my guess is Pel is begging Farmer to come back.

I don't care what fricking problems Pel inherited, or if he was the only one who would take the job!  THAT WAS 4 FRICKING YEARS AGO!  Are we better off than we were 4 years ago?  Hell no we're not!  Like I've posted before:  If Long is willing to spend his political capital keeping Pel then that is his fricking decision.  I for one don't intend to buy another ticket to watch the cluster that is 40 minutes of Pel!

Unlikely.   Since it is spring semester, and Farmer is a senior transfer,  we'd only take a one level hit at this point, rather than a 2 point hit.   The APR has already started to swing in the right direction, and the loss of Farmer would simply slow the progress there,  not reverse it.      It'd put us in a position where we couldn't afford another few player exodus,  but it wouldn't put us back in lost scholarship territory.
