4 years, 60 million from Toronto. Well-deserved. Not too long ago, he was a fringe NBA player. Should be set for life with this contract.

Just saw Danny Green got 4 years/$45 million. Seems to be a good time to be a role player/slightly above average starter in the NBA.

Apparently the NBA is getting TV money that will really jack up the salaries of these guys. Being an above average starter in today's NBA means you are an ELITE athlete that very few humans can compete with. If BP can find a way to become a guy worthy of being a 3rd option type player he'll be killing it.

That is why all of these players are opting out. People who do not follow the NBA assumed it meant they were leaving (LBJ opting out.) It was only to get the larger contract this year than they were able to get last season.

Just looked up the numbers, and it's nuts! Teams will now be able to afford 3 or even 4 max deal-type players. Lebron could end up a 40,000,000 per year player before he's done. The NBA brass seems to be pretty worried that this will mess up the parity they have tried hard to accomplish.

Nearly July 4th and people on sports still leading their shows with NBA news.  This free agent stuff really keeps the off season interesting.  For further news, Aldridge is meeting tonight with Riley and the Heat and it has been reported that Aldridge has agreed to meet with the Lakers again but this time Kobe is not in the room.  Erie if you are out there what is the story about this 6'10' point guard from Europe the Wolves are getting??

He's going to be woefully underpaid.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Nemanja Bjelica is a power forward, with ball skills.   The Wolves own his rights, but are more likely to sign-and-tade him, than give him a spot on a roster that is already likely full-- particularly if Robbie Hummel accepts the qualifying offer the Wolves have extended to him.    I'd look for a guy like Bennett or Payne to be on the way out, via trade, if they actually do sign Bjelica.

At this point, probably not.    I do think they should look into the possibility of getting a future asset for Anthony Bennet at this point, though.
