And the others I don't/wont remember. If this guy was an LSU fan he wouldn't remember Paul Skenes because he was only there one year. 2

I'm not saying we need a second Richmond on the team just to beat Kentucky from getting him, but I wouldn't be opposed to having a really talented player on our team that also continues the trend of being one that Kentucky really wanted. We need another lead guard and kadary richmond is best available. Lamding richmod and Pryor makes us real deal natty contenders. Probaly be top 5 rated pre season. 4
Monday Morning Quarterback / Re: Who did Drink bribe?Last post by bennyl08 - Today at 09:44:06 amQuote from: TheGrove68 on Today at 03:42:13 amSo your using common opponent's as the Metric to gauge the Mental Effort and Focus of two teams across various weeks and situations? Injury reports, weather, location of the game, etc. are not factored in your numbers. That is not a very quantifiable data point by any measure. Sure using those comparisons can get you a surface talent and production metric of the talent measurable of both teams and that can give a idea of what team is better. But once you delve into the Mental aspect your numbers are not gonna hold up. the common opponents is one metric out of many. And arguably, it's judging more the physical than the mental and thus providing clues about the mental as a result. If you beat somebody in a race by 2 seconds, and I lose to them by 1 second. Then you beat somebody by 3 seconds and I only beat them by 1 second, without knowing anything else, who would you expect to win in a race b/w just you and me? Obviously you. But, if I come out and beat you in a race, there'd be some sort of questions as to why. Maybe you lack the stamina and I have more. Maybe you pushed yourself harder against the first two guys and I saved my energy to beat you, etc... Other metrics indicating that Mizzou plays harders/hogs play softer in this game is the recruiting rankings, where the hogs have not merely ranked ahead of Mizzou, but typically far enough ahead that there is a noticeable difference. This has, until this year, borne itself out in the NFL draft picks as well. So, to sum that up, we've recruited better players to our team, played better against common opponents, and completed that pipeline by producing more NFL draft picks. Yet, we consistently lose. Also, not sure you come to that last conclusion though. The argument here is that the hogs get softened by the rigors of the SEC-w, not hardened, and that we have LACKED the mental sharpness/toughness, not had the overall advantage. 5

Monday Morning Quarterback / Re: Chamblee to SMULast post by Hogo Piglitz - Today at 09:36:43 amQuote from: bennyl08 on Today at 09:21:40 amSMU plays 2-3 per year, so in 4 years time, they've played as many if not more P5 teams than we did. 1. Say huh? We play 9 P4 teams a season they play 2-3 4 years we play 36 they play 8-12 again dishonesty. Lashlee is just starting his 3rd season so his team has played 4. They are a better team Arkansas wouldn't have beaten them last year and wouldn't if they played this year. 2. Idk why don't you ask him. 3. Reading comprehension I said they were getting starters from the P5 that's a fact didn't say what team or how many. Another fact we got 1 starter from the P5 Jackson from Utah the rest were back ups. Even our starting Qb was a backup at Boise. |
