I have a friend that played in Korea a bit - it wasn't quite MLB money but it pays very well and he loved it! Glad for Jorn, the food will be an adjustment tho...

Is that a lateral, up, or down move?
If gun control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome. http://heyjackass.com/

I guess it's how you look at it - I'm guessing the money is pretty good (teams are owned by large corporations), the stadium seats 26K - baseball is loved and he will be a celebrity most everywhere he goes - with the associated perks. It could be a stepping stone to Japan or the MLB, but mostly I think it would be a really cool cultural experience.

I would say odd lol
I figured he'd enjoy some time off. Moving to another country is quite an endeavor at his age.

The reason I asked is Korea just seems like an odd place to go.  For military, it's usually not highly anticipated, although many seem to enjoy their time there.  I've never even thought about pro ball in a country like Korea and have no idea if it has any following outside of Korea.  I guess if the  money is right, almost any place is worth going to.  I think I'd rather work for the Razorbacks though.

Hmm. Wonder if Melinda plans to go with him? That's a long ways away from the Grandbabies.
