Sorry, my kid asked me a question on his homework during that stretch.  I'll tell him to take a hike next time.  Geez

While you're at it, ask him why he didn't turn it in BEFORE Christmas break.

lookawayquick

Where is that plan Pel keeps talking about?  Time for him to unveil. Really bad basketball all around.

You were the one making a big deal about it and saying Lanny should charge people or give IQ tests.

Maybe instead of commenting you should have read first, posted less or just stuck to the homework.  GEEZ.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

It doesn't take Bobby Knight to see how pathetic we are. Hell, Jordan Knight could tell you that. This program is going anywhere but the right direction. I don't know about you, but I don't enjoy the feeling of getting kicked in the balls while simultaneously watching Peter North bang my wife everytime the Hogs play basketball. It sucks, and it's NOT getting better.

I understand your pain.  I feel it too.

But don't you think that the game would have been an actual game if we would have had our two best players playing and playing healthy tonight?  I'm looking at the fact that a true PG and healthy, dominate center absolutely change a team.

Did read, and couldn't find it.  That's why I asked.  Go ahead and take the last word, it's all yours.

There is no reason we should lose a game by 20+ points in our own state and by a team named Baylor. It has been time for Pel to go!

And Nolan would have seen his ass run straight out of the gym after a 40+ point loss!  We only had 8 players tonight!  And, they had an extremely quick team, even with thier height.  Did you even watch this game?
do you understand basketball ?  seriously man, have you ever played the game ? you CANNOT walk the ball up and play straight into the hands of Baylor's strength, the game must have been made into a 94 feet game of transition basketball so the Baylor bigs would be huffing and puffing and blowing and trying to blow out the candles on their birthday cake...I agree that we don't have the players, but who's fault is that ? Stan Heath ? can't blame him anymore....if you are outsized in hoops YOU DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES get into a walk it up, pass it down low to your #3 and hope he can make something happen....this game was over before it began

I will and again you could have just said "Who said this?, or "I missed it, what did they say?"  You started with the smart a$$ put downs.  Geez.

We wouldn't have lost quite as bad, but we most likely still would've lost. we had them both last year in a much worse SEC, and we won 2 conference games. I just don't see how we can improve.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Pelphrey. He's an old school disciplinarian that worked hard for his achievements, and I hope he succeeds in everything he does. I truly am rooting for the guy, but it looks like this isn't going to work out.
Go away, batin'

I have a plan...........................FIRE PEL!!!

I know Sanchez wouldn't have given us a ton of improvement, but it would have been nice to see Baylor's bigs maybe receive 5 really hard fouls and have to work a little more.

It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. they should sprinkle sawdust around BWA because this basketball is worse than it was before sutton showed up and there was sawdust at barnhill.

you really have to work on being as bad as they are...i mean its a 5 man game....a 23 point loss to baylor at the hogs second home....AYSM.

the worst team in 40 years....congrats PEL and Long.
sometimes it's a good and some times it's a schit

What was the purpose of playing M Wash?  Would the final score have been any different?  We played them within 3 in the first half without him.  I know when Pel put him in the game he thought we still had a chance, but if Wash's back is really hurting him why not just rest him and see how the rest of the game plays out?

Did you look at the bench at the point Washington came in?  It looked like a couple of people were about to die.

There are only so many minutes you can get out of guys.

Do you understand the first thing about basketball?  Obviously not!  I have played ever since I was old enough to dribble a ball... so yes, you could say I have played the game.

Apparently you didn't watch the game at all, or you would realize that Baylor only had 1 big guy that you could even start to get into an out of breath type situation.  ALL of their other bigs were extremely athletic, and pressing them would have just played into their hands.  You sure as hell can't go 40-minutes of hell on them with only 7 real scholarship players to start the game!

And one last thing, you absolutely CAN still blame Heath.  It's called losing 7 of his players in 1 season, not to mention the pathetic recruiting class he left for us to get on his way out the door.

True, I can't believe that RC is still walking.  Is he ever out of a game?

In the year 2525...

Some will still be BLAMING HEATH.

I hate getting into the negativity but i mean just look at pels recruits

britt-i like him, but lets be realistic, hes not the kinda guy your gonna win titles with..i know pel was scrambling to fill the roster at the time but..

rakestraw-gone

patsatsia-gone

mcdonald-gone

andre clark-gone

moore-gone

henry-gone

nobles- still young and may get alot better but right now he has a LONG ways to go

johnson-LONG ways to go

sanchez-solid but similar to britt

fortson-who knows

farmer-looks ok at times but dissappears ALOT

Now Bryant could be really good
Rotnei is a great shooter and would be even better with a better supporting cast

and i think most really really like powell

i wouldnt say im a pel hater but thats alot of strikeouts in recruiting no matter how you spin it

hogsox

Took my 9 year old son to his first Hog basketball game tonight. We had 3 players(Clark, Powell, Bryant) that played with any passion tonight. Baylor played with a fire burning in their gut to win! We didn't! We shut it down and gave up halfway into the second half. My boy laid his head on my shoulder at that point & said "wake me when it's over." Kids are so honest!

Get over yourself.  We are basically 2 and a half years removed from a coach that did absolutely the worst job ever of balancing classes, and left us with basically nothing in his last year.  So yes, at the very least, a portion of this is easily still laid at the feet of Heath.  If you don't get that, you don't get much.
