Not like the Fayetteville police don't stick it to any, and everybody, on Dickson St ... sure not like the old days, btw ...

If the kid continues down this road habitually at Auburn ... not good for him.  But one PI shouldn't set off anyone's alarm in a college town, imho.  Heck, if we had to live in Auburn, we'd probably get a PI or two, too!  ;)

A PI at auburn was probably something much worse....... gun play is a normal saturday night for them.

All in......*

Pike can be one of the drunk uncles in the Auburn "family".

ALL IN!!!!

Calling All Hogs

It was probably Pike's first time to win big at the local casino and he was celebrating a little too much. He probably hasn't figured out that Auburn football players always win big every time they play at the local casinos so it's not that big a deal.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Mallett get popped with a PI when he first showed up here?  It's not the end of the world for the guy and I'd wager a pretty good chunk of the posters here were lucky they didn't pick one up at that age.
I need to be more like my dog...if you can't fight it, screw it, or eat it, then piss on it.

Quit being hypocrites.

it was stupid when it happened to Mallett.  It's stupid now that it's happened to Pike.

Chizik won me over when he first came to Auburn and required all the players to move their meth labs off campus. Players rebelled against his toughest but it was the right thing to do.

Yeah, but at least Mallett didn't play the whole "I loved the Godly atmosphere at Auburn" card before he got busted.
Prettiest little girl ever I saw, stood on the banks of the Arkansas. Her eyes were wild and her stare was mean. She's the prettiest d@mn girl ever I seen.

Kids don't know what to say unless they're coached.  If it had been his feelings on the matter, he'd say "wow, great campus, loved the coaches, blah blah blah".  I don't think quotations from 17-18 year olds should hold much water.

had i been interviewed at 18, i'm pretty sure that "hey hey hey, smoke weed every day" would've made it into each one.

i don't like defending auburn kids, but this is dumb.

With all the dumb stuff you say now, I can't even begin to imagine what you said when you were 18.   ;)
Quote from: GA reddiehog on May 18, 2019, 12:36:02 pm<br />Hogs have hit a wall at the wrong time of the season.  I will go on record now and say they may not even get out of their regional.  The hitting has been carrying them with a few good pitching outings but they just don't have the reliable pitching they need to get back to the CWS.<br />
Quote from: GA reddiehog on April 16, 2024, 07:44:38 pmPitching over hyped and hitting nonexistent is going to make for several loses here on out. Maybe it will not be as bad as the BB team. Lack of hitting has been a problem for many moons.

According to a former acquaintance of mine who is in the bar bidnessin Auburn, Pike has been thrown out of almost every drinking establishment near campus.

RM getting a PI was stupid.

Pike getting one is big news....... they have a better program than that.... or so we thought.

Cracks in the foundation at Auburn..... somebody isn't all in anymore.

It's a brave and honorable coach who has the intestinal fortitude to suspend the third-string QB for three games.

Ahh........he's now an OFFICIAL member of the AWbarn "family" and football team. That certainly didn't take long!

Nice to see all those outstanding tigger traditions are being passed down to the next generation.

Problem is the Cheezwiz didn't also require them to move all their stolen stashes as well. Between (S)Cam and the "trailer park bandittos" they've accumulated quite a nice pile of "pocket" change.

I seem to recall that God told Pike to go to Auburn.  I wonder if God has been telling him to become an alcoholic.

Correct me 'cause I'm obviously not up on my bible. Exactly when did ole Noah get drunk? Was that before or after he had to round up all the animals and helped dispose of all the poop? Come to think of it if I had such a task I think I'd take a nip or two as well.

Got both of his daughters pregnant as a result.

Wasn't Noah high on the list of Auburn's wish list that year?

I think when Auburn hosted them on recruiting trips, they must have taken them to Sodom and Gomorah for entertainment.

Zeke Pike leaves Auburn for rest of summer

QuoteThis was not Pike's first off-the-field issue, said someone familiar with the situation. Auburn officials did not address his status Monday.

Pike was an early commitment for Auburn's 2012 signing class. At the last moment, Auburn signed another quarterback, Jonathan Wallace,   from Central High School in Phenix City.

Chiz's intestines are so fortified, he sent Pike home. The president has been set.

They should make Cheeze the precedent of the university.  Or the United States.

Hogville prediction formula:

1.  Insert bad news prediction. A loss, a recruit going elsewhere, a coach leaving, etc.
2.  Tag "hope I'm wrong," on the end.
3a.  Enjoy a correct prediction.
3b.  Act like you're relieved you're wrong and celebrate with everyone else.

Auburn doesn't need any more of Zeke Pike's aggravation right now

QuoteThe last thing Auburn needs right now is a player acting as if being bad is a good thing.

It's not.

One player from Auburn's 2010 BCS Championship roster, Antonio Goodwin, already has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for armed robbery, and three more -- Mike McNeil, Shaun Kitchens and Dakota Mosley -- await their trials on charges from the same incident.

On the night in question, according to testimony from Goodwin's trial, they carried a gun belonging to Mike Dyer, the MVP of that championship victory over Oregon. Dyer, who also testified that he consistently used synthetic marijuana while at Auburn, is now at Arkansas State.

If the only back in Auburn history to rush for more than 1,000 yards as both a freshman and a sophomore was expendable, so is an unproven freshman quarterback who's yet to take a snap beyond the spring game.

Before patting Gene Chizik on the back for (choose one) sending Pike home or allowing him to go home, a question seems in order. Given what we knew about Pike before he got to Auburn, why did Chizik sign him in the first place?

Fulmer Cup Update

QuoteBackup quarterback Zeke Pike was arrested for public intox just after midnight on Sunday in Auburn, leading one to so many questions at once. How does one get arrested for public intoxication in Auburn, a town that's three blocks long and all but designed to fumble tipsy students back to campus? (Things roll uphill in Auburn: drunk students, Gene Chizik's career, etc.) Furthermore, how the hell does a football player get arrested for public intox in a a town that doubles as a tax dodge for skullduggerous logging magnates and football factory? And why on earth did the energetic Lee County prosecutors not add a public insurrection and treason charge to Pike's tally? When will we rally to the challenge posed by so-called "Americans" restricting the rights of those who wish to trod tipsily upon this fine land of ours as they like? WHEN, WE ASK?

If I'm correct it was LOT who escaped Sodom (also know as Sanduskyville) and Gamorrah with the two hot daughters. Like Zeke they got him drunk. Unlike Pike though Lot actually "got him some" that night.
