Excited I asked someone in the pro shop " did you get this beautiful sand from Florida?"  No he said, it is from Sheridan ....

Sheridan is well known for golf sand. There was a big article in the paper a few years about that. Courses from all over buy from there.
There's something about the soil there that's conducive to that, apparently.

Since you posted I wondered, wtheck so my boys told me that there is a business in Fordyce that takes those big white rocks and reduces them to a white sand "like" substance. My friend who plays over there said it's beautiful but plays like a heavy sand...

Nothing like more changing situations while playjng!!
