I got a brand new computer, with all the updated crap on it, IE specifically, and this damn thing still acts like the computer I used in 1996 in college.

Smily face buttons and all of the other ones will not work in ie.

When I open HV it hesitates for 30 seconds, and will not open the entire page.

Do I need to update the browser, or switch browsers?

Is ie even capable of supporting HV?

This is bs in this day and age almost 20 years later. (Not a HV problem, just looking for a solution)
I ain't saying you babysitting, but my kids are all over your couch.

Staying off goatse or lemonparty would generally help.

People still use IE? I have that installed on mine but I never use it. I would delete it entirely but not sure if that would screw up some of my other programs.

I recommend using the Google Chrome and/or Firefox browsers. There is another browser option out there called Safari but I don't know that much about it.

Safari for Windows is really limiting... can't do much with it.

I have the big 5 installed:
Firefox
Chrome
Safari
Opera
Internet Exploder

That's the order I use them, as well. Safari, Opera and IE are used ONLY for web development stuff. Outside of that, I never touch 'em.

Safari works best on a Mac because, well, Apple.  I have that and Firefox on the Macbook.  At work on the Windows desktop it's Chrome (works best with the project bidding site) or Firefox.  Last Windows laptop I had, I used Opera almost exclusively.  Notice I never mentioned IE.....because screw IE.

Doug

Next major Windows release, IE is dead anyway. No, I'm not joking about that, either.

I use Pale Moon too. A Firefox clone but not a resource hog like FF has gotten.

I'm familiar with goatse but I'll have to do some lemonparty research.  :)
