We can put any trade speculation to rest.  Looks like the Bulls are excited about Bobby.   ;D

QuoteHe's a very versatile kid who you can use in different ways. And he's learning from some great veteran players. And I know he's going to be a sponge and he'll absorb everything he can from those guys. Being in the draft room tonight, it's not very often when you get to your pick, especially in the 20s, and it's unanimous. And that happened.

I'm pretty sure they were just going to draft the best player available regardless of position. Hope it works out well!

He may have gone to the best team for his future!

This is a good situation for both of them.  The Bulls can be really good if healthy.

Hoiberg will get them out of playing 1999 ball as well.

Quote from: jacksonpollackEvery time I look around in BWA I get dizzy. It is hard to judge the capacity. During the Auburn game I tried to count all the people in attendance but got lost at around 30,000.

They weren't playing 1999 ball.   They were playing modified Heat ball, without the dynamic spacing and rotation.

Just a the Golden States and San Antonio were on the cutting edge of offensive change,  Chicago has been helping pioneer and standardize the response to it, albeit with less success as the roster ages.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

There was just too much focus on one guy on offense (Rose). Hoiberg's approach with those players wil work, assuming their best player is able to go of course.

If Pippen and Kukoc go down, who is gong to take all of the shots?

The problem with the Bulls isn't going to be shot distribution;  its going to be minutes distribution-- they almost can't afford to remain healthy in the frontcourt.

"@ChicagoSports99: Taj Gibson will most likely be traded, about a 80% chance. Bulls drafted Bobby Portis to take his spot."

Now the Bulls just need to find a real point guard that isn't a drama queen and then they might have a chance against Cleveland in the playoffs.
If a man speaks and no woman is around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Rose isn't a drama queen.  He's just broke.

Eh.  Their window is closed, if Rose is no longer capable of playing like a star.

If they still had rip Hamilton next to him I'd agree but Butler is a freak... hope they can keep him.

Bobby will have a solid NBA career, he was drafted by a great franchise and that is awesome and also crucial I think.

presidenthog

my only regret about this is the bull's star player has his best years behind him. too many injuries and he just isn't the same guy that won that mvp. they are aging and he might be in the middle of some rebuilding.
