I think that's a pretty prediction good for the west.  For the east, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Spurrier will be back to form this year, fighting for #1 in the east.  Remember how strong SC closed out 2005?

Florida beats LSU in the SECCG and plays for the national title with one loss.  They lose in the BCSNCG to Ohio State.

Arkansas plays in Memphis, versus Memphis, Ken Irvin is their honorary captain, sockless Joe Lee Dunn contains McFadden with cunning strategery, Nutt burns the redshirt of every freshman that makes the trip to try and win and Micheal Smith, drawn by lottery system picking numbers out of Robert Felton's helmet, comes on and kicks a 22 yard field goal to win the Liberty Bowl, 6 to 5 over Memphis.

Of all the predictions this looks like the most likely to me. I am not sold on the west teams being that much better than us. I know the coaches are better everywhere else, but the players still have to play. I will take our players over the rest of the west. Not so sure Tenn. is going to be all that great. "I can't be cliché and say 'Call the Hogs,' but I think I have to.  That's just something that sets our university apart.  When you're out on the field and everyone in the stadium stands up, it's amazing.  Even when we're at a football or basketball game, just to see that many people around you doing the same thing for you when you're on the field or for the other guys who are playing, it's pretty awesome."

My predictions, for what they are worth:

West

1.  Arkansas/LSU

5.  Mississippi State
6.  Ole Miss

East

1.  Georgia
2.  Florida
3.  South Carolina
4.  Tennessee
5.  Kentucky
6.  Vanderbilt

The west is going to come down to the Arkansas/LSU game with the game being decided on one or two plays.  Both teams will be 7-0 in conference going into the game.  Alabama won't be very good but they will beat Auburn this season.  Auburn doesn't have a lot returning and will lose 4 games.  Mississippi State will dominate on defense, but still won't be able to move the ball.  As far as Ole Miss, Brent Schaeffer is still their quarterback and Orgeron is still their coach - nuff said.

Georgia will return to dominating the East with Stafford running their offense.  Florida will be the most fun to watch with Tebow running the spread option, but will slip against Georgia and South Carolina.  South Carolina will look great at certain points of the season but won't be able to sustain it through the entire conference schedule.  Tennessee will look like NC contenders for the first three games and then falter like they did last season.  Kentucky will create a highlight reel on offense this year, but without much of a defense won't win very many games.  Vandy is Vandy.

I don't get it either.  Cox has never been able to stay healthy and they have 4 new starters on the OL.  They're #1 WR is a former walk-on, overall not a good group of WR's in my opinion.

When I first started reading the thread, I didn't realize that the original posts were last year's picks.  I was also wondering why everyone had Auburn winning the division.  I was like "dang, all these Hog fans have more faith in my team then I do."

Anyway, here's my pick for the 2007 season.  I feel pretty comfortable w/ my West predictions, but I just have no idea about the East.  I feel like the top four teams all have a shot at the title.  Florida and Georgia both lost a bit on defense, and it will be interesting to see what Tebow does now that he has to be full-time.  I'm tempted to pick the Gamecocks, they were really close in a lot of games last year, and Tenn is very much improved...:
