if I was Sexton I'd reverse the 5% and tell the next school he has a large fanbase watching his every move. They'll fil up your stadium buying season tickets and selling out every home game. If you dont believe me, just look at recent history. Games sold out, every move the man makes analyzed and scrutinized. I am surprised his bathroom schedule is not on here, although it would not surprise me to learn it is here, just in code. LOL sometimes it gets pathetic, but atleast there is getting to be more football talk. The reason I joined in the first place. Football 101, and there are alot of good students of the game to be found here. Too bad they forgot about that.

I would sell them on the idea that they could get a "two-for-one" coach...a football coach (albeit a pi$$ poor one) and a band director.  Be sure and show them the clip of Houston almost knocking down the band director to lead the band.  Sure would get me pumped up if I was low mid-major school.

Because the UofA is slow to pull the trigger, here is what they (and we) are facing:

NO OTHER SCHOOL WANTS THE CLOWN!!!  HDN ACTIVELY pursued the Alabama job (this is Nutt's dream job) last season...no matter what you fans are spoonfed.  He called and pursued it, but Bama did not pursue him.  When his name was suggested on radio talk shows within the state of Alabama, the Tide fans became unglued at even the mention of Houston Nutt coaching their beloved team.  The Bama AD could see that it would be absolutel suicide to even slightly pursue this option.

The AD at Alabama knows the same thing that Skip Bertman @ LSU and Peterson @ Nebraska both know...they will get lynched in an attempt to sell HDN to their fan base.

The reason why Coach Nutt did not have a longer phone/text record with other schools is simple.  It was a one and done scenario.  "Thank you coach, we appreciate your interest, but we PASS!"  He still called em and was still trying to find an option, but he has made himself about as marketable as the black plague!!!

I think it would be a great match for Coach Nutt to coach right in the city Sexton calls home should he decide to leave (or forced out) the UofA. 
As a matter of fact, I personally would love to see him coach the Tigers.  It is a troubled program (mid-major in football at that) that would be bringing in a big name coach (much like was done with Coach Cal).

Since I am not a tiger football fan, it doesn't pain me to say I hope they have a losing season and get rid of the Coach (West)  to pave the way for this to happen.

I would think Memphis would probably be the best he could get unless Mississippi State decides to can Croom and look within the conference for a replacement.

Well you know he thinks he is more popular the further south he travels.   Head to MState HDN they will love your mediocrity and most do not have the internet.

Make the Arkansas job look as tough as possible.  Lie and mislead.  Its what agents do.  Tell the programs that its impossible to recruit to Fayetteville yet Nutt can still manage to get bowl eligible in the SEC.  Explain using an agent's way with the truth how we have been shut out of Texas because we joined the SEC and Nutt can't get talent because of it.  Play up the Texas wins, the '06 season and show the rise in attendance since Nutt got the job and make it appear that its Dale driven.  Blame the one dimensional offenses on the qb coaches and point out that Nutt has made a few coaching changes there in order to try and improve.  And dismiss the offseason unrest on the small, meaningless 5% group. 

Maybe he'll find an AD and Univ Pres gullible enough to believe the lies and half truths.  Not farfetched if he can find a couple who are Arkansans.
