At least the AP is. We are 15th behind 14th ranked LSU who has lost 2 games, 1 to a team we dominated at their place and the other that just lost to the team we dominated. What a joke.

Pyotr Tchaikhogsky

We're getting a royal screw job.  We beat Auburn, Auburn beats Florida, and both of them end up ranked way ahead of us.  Even LSU, who lost to Auburn AND Florida, is ahead of us.  I guess the only way to get respect is to keep winning.  The pressure is on.  I hope the team deals with pressure better than they have in the past.

You have to understand how polls work, you're not going to jump that drastically no matter who you beat.  They are an average of what people think, so you should expect an average amount of movement, some people will have it the way that you stated, however some of the voters are more conservative and will not move teams hardly at all.  It takes an entire season for the polls to balance out and by the end of the season they will be balanced.  But don't expect to make that drastic of movements.

Most voters actually base the polls off of the week before, so if we are 17 that week and perform well you could expect us to move up a little.  If we were #2 and lost then we would move down.  But they aren't going to rewrite the entire rankings every week just to explain that weeks games, that would never be an accurate representation of the polls.  One game at time, and we will be where we deserve as the season finishes up.

Didn't we start the season ranked 48?  15 is good.

Well, 15 is not bad....who'd have thought at the end of the USC game that we'd have such audacity to go and get ourselves nationally ranked? In the Top 15, no less? LOL! I love it.

I'm hoping for a single digit ranking this week in the AP myself. The Auburn win over Fla. made us look REALLY good. IMO.

News flash: the AP has been out for about an hour now.  We're 15th.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

What I find funny about this is:

Someone wouldn't rank us after we embarrass Auburn AT Auburn, yet they WILL rank us after we beat SEMO at home.

Yeah, I understand how polls work.  Last week, there were many AP voters that admittedly FORGOT to vote for Arkansas.  Yeah, that's a system that we should trust.  If you don't start the season ranked, you're gonna get screwed over.  Polls should not come out until mid-season.  But even that wouldn't work because ESPN, who loves to over-analyze everything, would come out with their own rankings which would still influence voters when it came time to vote.  So even though we can't do anything about it, what I said remains true; we're getting a royal screw job.  The only solution is to keep winning.

Looks like we only gained 2 spots.

#15 in the AP poll

mj4president

We are 15th in the AP. I saw it on ESPN on the main page of college football under the Title that says Ohio St. is 1 and Mich is 2. In the aritcle it lists the rankings for the AP.
"Let's do this tonight! Nothing like a legendary night to remember. I'll tell all my grand pups one day about the 3 am walk off home run by Jared Gates." MJ4President just hours before it happened.

Yeah, I saw that...Not much, but we did play SEMO! Just keep winning and it'll take care of itself!! WPS!!

Hollywood_HOGan

wonder how many voters still didnt put us on the ballot.

Be interesting to see where that freakin Alabama person put Arkansas who didnt even put us in last week.

Man if we could play a High School team until the end of the year we would be in the Top 5.

We seemed to have got more credit for this Saturday's win, than last Saturday's win.

That's probably because they thought last week was just a fluke, but when we came out this week and handed SEMO their arses they realized we're actually pretty good. 63-7 is good no matter who you're playing.
Wrong, 63 - 7 does matter w/ who you are playing.  Did you already forget that USC hung 70 points on us?  Yes we could have scored more yesterday, but so could have USC last year.

So yes it does matter who you are playing when you score 63 points.

I agree it does matter who you are playing but when is the last time Arkansas has beaten a team of SEMO's quality that badly?

The reason that wer aren't higher is  because the Harris Poll has us at #22.  The harris poll updates on Monday, so the Harris poll used in this calculation is actually from last monday, so the whole calculation is messed up if you ask me.
