I'd take the Warren Nolan number with a grain of salt.  It would be remarkable to win 15 in this year's SEC.  Those numbers you show from old SWC days were put up against mostly far inferior teams.  We don't have that luxury this year.  I'd go with TR, which predicts us to win 12 to 13 games and projects that to be sufficient for first in the SEC.

#5 in terms of number of wins.  #3 (I think) if you look at win %, which is a better benchmark.

Lost to Kentucky in the SECCG. Lost to UCLA in the NCAA Championship.

They're leaving out the season opening loss to UMASS.

Don't buy it to this level, but they are really high on us.  I think we're good but that's a big number.  The total deficit in those 3 losses is 4 pts.  It seems insane, but if we got to that number and showed well in the SECT, we'd be in the running for a #1 seed.

when everyone was in a funk after the Houston game, I was reminded of losing to UMass and Calipari by 24 or 25 (don't care to look it up) and I posted this thought on Hogville. Now if this year's team can have the over all success of that '94-'95 team, I will be perfectly content

This is a fun team to watch, but I don't think the Hogs are a top 15 team.  Gafford will need to progress very fast for that to occur......starting this week.

they've already beat a top 5 team on a neutral floor with the best player in the country. I think we have already showed that we are a top 15 team, take out the fluke loss to Houston and being real tired against UNC and we are ranked #1 probably.
