OFFENSE:
QB - #8 sr. Austin Allen 6'1" 210 lbs. 4.75 Fayetteville, AR.
#5 soph. Ty Storey 6'2" 215 lbs. 4.65 Charleston, AR.
#15 rfr. Cole Kelley 6'7" 255 lbs. 4.8 Lafayette, LA.

Those 40 times are about as trustworthy as a presidential tweet so I'm not sure why you include them. This goes for all positions, I'm just giving some commentary position by position.

We are in great position at qb. We have a 5th year senior who lit up the league his first year as a starter last year and looks to sharply improve in year 2 as well. Behind him, a very talented Storey who has been here 3 years now who has a red hot red shirt freshmen breathing down his neck for the backup spot. Lots of talent to work with, and lots of competition to refine that talent.

QuoteFB – #34 jr. Kendrick Jackson 6'1" 255 lbs. 4.65 Haynesville, LA.
#32 soph. Hayden Johnson 6'3" 250 lbs. 4.65 Columbia, MO.

I think we begin to see more of Hayden this year than we did last year.

QuoteTB - #21 soph. Devwah Whaley 5'11" 220 lbs. 4.45 Beaumont, TX.
#23 fr. Maleek Williams 6'0" 230 lbs. 4.45 Punta Gorda, FL.
#33 sr. David Williams 6'1" 220 lbs. 4.45 Philadelphia, PA.

David Williams might be #2 to start the season over the true freshmen, but I think we'll end the season like this. Whaley will not, IMO, have the sort of season that Collins had in '15 or RW3 last year. Not due to lack of ability, but I due to the talent behind him allowing coaches to not lean so heavily on just Whaley.

QuoteWR - #1 sr. Jared Cornelius 5'11" 210 lbs. 4.4 Shreveport, LA.
#16 soph. LaMichael Pettway 6'2" 215 lbs. 4.5 Nashville, AR.
#2 jr. Jonathon Nance 6'2" 190 lbs. 4.45 Gulfport, MS.
WR – #13 soph. Deon Stewart 5'11" 170 lbs. 4.4 Hardy, AR.
#3 soph. Brandon Martin 6'4" 215 lbs. 4.38 Monroe, LA.
#10 rfr. Jordan Jones 6'1" 185 lbs. 4.34 Smackover, AR.

Really doesn't make much sense IMO to only list 2 WR starting positions as we often use three. With our offense, a depth chart should include (as we officially did last year), qb, fb, tb, wr, wr, wr, te, te, then the OL. Sure, that's more than 11 players, but that is irrelevant.

I'd list it as

WR1: Cornelius
Jones

WR2: Pettway
Martin

WR3: Stewart
Nance

Cornelius is obviously our top guy. Pettway and Stewart are pretty close in talent IMO, though with very different skill sets. Martin will quickly rise into the top 3 due to his size, speed, and that the coaches like his route running and catching. Martin's biggest competition IMO for being the #2 target will be Jordan Jones who is going to be a stud. Nance could play into things his first year as well. He reminds me a lot of Cobi Hamilton. Not terribly explosive off the LoS, but with long speed.

QuoteTE – #44 soph. Austin Cantrell 6'4" 265 lbs. 4.6 Roland, OK.
#87 jr. Jack Kraus 6'5" 255 lbs. 4.75 Bentonville, AR.
#85 soph. Cheyenne O'Grady 6'4" 250 lbs. 4.65 Fayetteville, AR.

O'Grady is easily the #2 over Kraus right now and I don't see that changing in the future. The only thing changing would be if Patton can show that he is as good a blocker as he is in the receiving game whenever Patton does arrive. Currently, Patton and O'Grady operate in a similar niche as receiving specialist TE's who have gotten compliments for being better than expected blockers, but are both clearly more dominant in the receiving game.

QuoteLT - #74 soph. Colton Jackson 6'6" 310 lbs. Conway, AR.
#76 sr. Paul Ramirez 6'6" 305 lbs. Rialto, CA.
#73 fr. Shane Clenin 6'6" 305 lbs. Festus, MO.
LG - #51 jr. Hjalte Froholdt 6'4" 320 lbs. Svendborg, Denmark
#73 jr. Deion Malone 6'3" 305 lbs. Batesville, MS.
#55 rfr. Jake Heinrich 6'4" 305 lbs. Urbandale, IA.
C - #72 sr. Frank Ragnow 6'5" 320 lbs. Chanhassen, MN.
#75 jr. Zack Rogers 6'2" 310 lbs. Carrollton, TX.
RG – #62 jr. Johnny Gibson 6'4" 340 lbs. Dumas, AR.
#50 sr. Jake Raulerson 6'4" 315 lbs. Celina, TX.
#68 fr. Kirby Adcock 6'5" 300 lbs. Nashville, AR.
RT – #60 jr. Brian Wallace 6'6" 335 lbs. St. Louis, MO.
#79 soph. Jalen Merrick 6'4" 325 lbs. Oak Hill, FL.
#78 fr. Dalton Wagner 6'9" 330 lbs. Spring Grove, IL.

Can't say I see anything particularly off here. Biggest question marks IMO are at LT and RG. Paul Ramirez is very talented and very athletic. I'd be as shocked to see him end up as our starting LT as I would be to see an explosion in a michael bay movie. However, he isn't the only good player we have. Colton manned the LT quite a bit last off season and again this off season so he could also easily be our starter. At RG, I think Gibson has a low ceiling as a player, but he apparently has a high floor as well. I would not be concerned at all to see him as our starter, but I would be disappointed that players with much higher potential than Gibson such as Rogers and Raulerson were unable to beat him as the starter.

QuoteDEFENSE:
DE - #3 soph. McTelvin Agim 6'3" 290 lbs. 4.6 Hope, AR.
#90 jr. Armon Watts 6'5" 295 lbs. 4.8 St. Louis, MO.
#? jr. Melvin Johnson 6'5" 290 lbs. 4.75 Las Vegas, NV.

Pretty much agree here. Wouldn't be surprised to see Johnson move up to #2. Agim and Johnson can be terribly disruptive which does concern me with the 3-4 defense. Will they be allowed to make plays in the backfield like they are very much capable of doing? Or will they get chewed out and punished for doing that because in a typical 3-4, you don't want your DL in the backfield because it means they aren't taking on multiple blockers.

QuoteNG – #78 sr. Bijhon Jackson 6'2" 335 lbs. 5.2 El Dorado, AR.
#41 soph. Austin Capps 6'4" 310 lbs. 4.95 Star City, AR.
#42 rfr. Jonathon Marshall 6'4" 305 lbs. 4.85 Shepherd, TX.

Agree here.

QuoteDE – #52 soph. T.J. Smith 6'3" 285 lbs. 4.75 Moultrie, GA.
#7 rfr. Briston Guidry 6'3" 295 lbs. 4.8 Metairie, LA.
#91 jr. Michael Taylor 6'4" 265 lbs. 4.65 Orlando, FL.

Not sure what to make of Taylor. He is ideally suited physically for the OLB. However, mentally, he apparently really wants his hand in the ground. Seems like a waste to me. To have that speed but play a position where you just eat up blockers and nothing else?

QuoteOLB – #10 jr. Randy Ramsey 6'4" 230 lbs. 4.5 Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
#35 sr. Dwayne Eugene 6'1" 235 lbs. 4.5 Marrero, LA.
#4 rfr. Alexy Jean-Baptiste 6'2" 235 lbs. 4.55 Pompano Beach, FL.

OLB – #40 soph. Jamario Bell 6'5" 250 lbs. 4.65 Junction City, AR.
#96 sr. Karl Roesler 6'1" 250 lbs. 4.6 Louisville, KY.
#34 soph. Tyler Phillips 6'1" 235 lbs. 4.6 North Little Rock, AR.

Agree with the starters, but that's about it. Dwayne Eugene is an ideal OLB for a 4-3, but I think he's more of an inside guy for the 3-4. He can cover the pass and stop the run, but I don't think he has much pass rushing potential. Bell, Ramsey, Fisher, and ideally Taylor are the only ones I see being particularly good at that. AJB I think is in a similar mold as Greenlaw and Eugene as well. Roesler I am not high on personally and think he mostly just provides some depth. Big issue at OLB is that we don't have a ton of players to play there. Which makes sense as they are extremely rare players in the first place. You have to have a Von Miller type there to be productive. Somebody who cover the likes of Wes Welker in space and beat LT's in pass pro to rack up double digit sacks while still being very good at stopping the run.

QuoteILB - #8 soph. De'Jon Harris 6'0" 240 lbs. 4.55 Harvey, LA.
#45 jr. Josh Harris 5'10" 235 lbs. 4.6 Pine Bluff, AR.
#19 rfr. Giovanni LaFrance 6'1" 245 lbs. 4.65 New Orleans, LA.

ILB - #23 jr. Dre Greenlaw 6'0" 230 lbs. 4.5 Fayetteville, AR.
#38 fr. Kyrei Fisher 6'2" 235 lbs. 4.6 Tulsa, OK.
#33 rfr. Dee Walker 6'2" 220 lbs. 4.5 Moultrie, GA.

Mostly agree here. Biggest difference would be that I'd swap out Fisher for Eugene with Eugene pretty much being the guy who would go in for either Harris or Greenlaw and similarly, Fisher would be the primary backup for either OLB spot.

QuoteCB - #5 sr. Henre' Tolliver 6'1" 190 lbs. 4.4 Marrero, LA.
#30 jr. Kevin Richardson 6'0" 180 lbs. 4.45 Jacksonville, AR.
#13 soph. Nate Dalton 6'3" 190 lbs. 4.45 Baton Rouge, LA.

Definitely like the starters. However, Jordan Curtis needs to be in the rotation somewhere. KR3 is probably going to start out as the primary nickel back and be the primary backup for most spots in the secondary IMO.

QuoteCB – #1 jr. Ryan Pulley 5'11" 200 lbs. 4.4 Ft. Myers, FL.
#1 soph. Britto Tutt 6'2" 185 lbs. 4.4 Augusta, GA.
#? fr. Chevin Calloway 5'10" 185 lbs. 4.4 Dallas, TX.

Similar to above. I think Calloway and Curtis could easily be in the two deep by seasons end.

QuoteSS - #20 sr. De'Andre Coley 6'1" 215 lbs. 4.45 Miami, FL.
#25 rfr. Micah Smith 6'0" 195 lbs. 4.5 Marshall, TX.
#22 rfr. Deon Edwards 6'1" 205 lbs. 4.45 Clermont, FL.

Replace Edwards with Curl and not that if Coley, Ramirez, Toliver, or Pulley were to need a breather, than Richardson would likely be the first one in for all of those positions

QuoteFS – #9 jr. Santos Ramirez 6'2" 205 lbs. 4.45 Shreveport, LA.
#28 sr. Josh Liddell 6'1" 210 lbs. 4.45 Pine Bluff, AR.
#? fr. Montaric Brown 6'1" 185 lbs. 4.4 Ashdown, AR.

Similar to the CB's, I think Brown and Curl will be in the 2 deep by season's end as well.

QuoteSPECIAL TEAMS:
PK - #9 jr. Cole Hedlund 5'10" 175 lbs. Argyle, TX.
KR – #6 soph. T.J. Hammonds 5'10" 195 lbs. 4.4 Little Rock, AR. and
#? fr. Chase Hayden 5'11" 195 lbs. 4.4 Collierville, TN.
P - #8 soph. Blake Johnson 6'0" 190 lbs. 4.6 Long Beach, CA.
PR - #1 sr. Jared Cornelius 5'11" 210 lbs. 4.4 Shreveport, LA. or
#6 soph. T.J. Hammonds 5'10" 195 lbs. 4.4 Little Rock, AR.

I think we try to RS Hayden. We have the depth to do it and I don't see any threat of him leaving early.

I like the breakdown you have here.  I in no way profess to know what we have coming down the pipeline with new recruits coming into the Program and what positions they will end up playing, however, with Ragnow entering his final season as our anchor to our OLine, what do we really have behind him that's going to be able to step in and continue to perform at and SEC level?

Going alphabetical

Adcock: Refined technique player. A little less athletic than some of our other players. However, he pancaking defenders without going to the ground himself which you don't see a lot of in HS tape. He looks calm and tame, but that's because he uses good technique rather than relying on raw power or size and such.

Clenin: Polar opposite of adcock. Looks like a shorter and slightly quicker Skipper coming out of HS. Very aggressive and basically tackles the opposing defender to take them to the ground. Very big.

Froholdt: When he knew who to block last year, it was game over for the defender. Last year was his first year on the OL at the college level so while he displayed all conference, first half of the draft talent physically, mentally he made a ton of mistakes mentally early on and slowly improved throughout the season. This off season, even the third party coaches who come in as analysts for us have been noticing him and commenting on how good he looks.

Gibson: Lacks NFL athleticism, but is very strong and relies on good technique.

Heinrich: His HS tape suggests he could definitely be a tackle. He still has some muscle and strength to add to his frame, but he is very athletic and still pretty strong. However, he has mostly worked inside for us so far. Coaching staff has a habit of having young players start inside where they have help on either side before kicking them out to tackle, so it remains to be seen if they view him on the inside long term or not.

Jackson: Bit of a question mark. Coaching staff offered him early his junior season that is how much he impressed them. Injury killed his senior season and minimized his recruitment out of HS which was good for us. He has the size and speed, but is working on technique and is the favorite to be our starting LT.

Malone: Don't really know a whole lot about him. Don't remember his HS tape or recruitment much.

Merrick: Big guy and strong, but lacks athleticism.

Ramirez: Snake bit. From his JUCO tape, he is an incredible blend of speed, quickness, strength, and technique. Coaches were high on him in the fall, but an injury delayed his development. Similarly, he was catching the eyes and praises of the coaching staff in spring, but a death in the family had him miss time.

Raulerson: A very athletic OL who needed to add some strength and learn our offense better. Immediately came in and beat out several of our other players, but had many mental errors and was playing injured. Has been much improved this spring and is fighting with others for the starting RG spot.

Rogers: Groomed to be our next center and was in the rotation for starting RG last fall camp.

Dalton Wagnor: Very highly recruited player but didn't have access to a lot of his highlights so can't say much more.

Wallace: extremely highly recruited. Very good blend of athleticism and power.

Thanks, again appreciated.
