Jeff Long has put out the word that be backs Pel, that they expected a bad year and were prepared. I think the word he is coming back next year no matter what is a ploy. Here is the two reasons Jeff Long would be smart to do what he is doing.

1. What else is he going to say, just following the standard support line

2. This one is deeper...if you want more money from the big money boosters, you would not just tell them we will take care of pel. You make them think that you are not going to get rid of him because we are broke...this causes big money in Long's mind to give more to get rid of Pel. It's a calculated gamble, I mean Pel has hung himself about a dozen times so I really think deep down Long wants to deep six Pel at years end. He just needs some more cash to do so, thus he bluffs for more bucks.

Just a thought! Of course he could be crazy and really bring him back. Kinda of like hoping you will get a $ 100,000 scratcher off a $ 5 lotto card.

And Pel supporters are accused of grasping at straws....
