I use 5dimes and betdsi

Make sure to ask the withdrawal process of whoever you use. Many are starting to require some extensive info just to get your money out

I use 5dimes..if you deposit via CC you do have to send in a photocopy of said CC, license, and a utility bill for proof of address. Think it's always been that way though.

For what's it worth to whoever originally asked, I absolutely love 5dimes. I've also used Bovada and Sportsbook...neither come close to 5dimes imo.

I picked every bowl game this year because I'm in a pool at my g/f work, I think 1st place is like $600.

Panthers got to stay healthy here on out. The over was the only play in that game.

Busy weekend out of town and didn't get a chance to post but played Ohio +7 and La T -1 so nice start to bowl season, looking at USF +2.5 tomorrow

2nd time this year that a game like that cost me HUGE parlays. It is crap like that that fuels the fires of conspiracy about fixed games. Up 35-7, then suddenly cant move the ball and cant stop anyone, then once tied, Panthers have no problem moving right down the field for the game winning fg. Panthers stay perfect, Giants cover.

Did start off pretty good on the bowls, but I have done great on college football all year only to give it mostly back on nfl.
People ask me what I do in winter when there is no baseball.  I will tell you what I do. I stare out the window, and I wait for spring.

Should have been 3-0 yesterday in the NFL. Panthers up 35-7 and let the giants score 28 straight and the Broncos let Pitt score 21 unanswered to push me.

1-1-1 in what should have been a huge day.

If No covers tonight it will payoff  3 team and a 4 team parlay. Also had a nice little one with AZ + 4, az/phil ov 51 No -3 and no/det over 51 still in play.

That Car game was just about enough to make me quit playing the nfl. Same kind of crap goes on in the nba. Team goes off at -8, gets up by 30 but somehow only ends up winning by 7.

Well, that did not work out for either of us.

The thing with the nfl, after I sat and thought about it, the rules, not just on the field, but in salaries, free agency, etc are there to make everyone as equal as possible. That is why 8 points in a spread is huge, and 14 like the Pats were is just crazy. It is much easier to look at a college game and see pretty quickly if it is a mismatch or not.

Still some good plays in the NFL, but the next 2 weeks will really be tough with teams maybe resting players, teams out of the playoffs just playing out the string, etc.

I am doing the bowls in groups of 4 or 5, my group right now:

WKU - 3 (w)
Ut St - 7 (l)
BG - 7.5
Boise - 8.5

For all the games where you get freaking lucky on a late cover I have to come and tell when I get screwed.  1 point cost me two huge bball plays tonight.

Wake forrest +7.5, up 15 at half, coach allows his team to come out flat at half and Xavier goes on a 17-2 run and wake forrest makes no substituion or calls a timeout on that run.  Just watches it like a spectator.  Wake losses by 8.

Memphis under 193.5.  Memphis has the ball with 20 seeconds to go and shot clock off, total at 193.  DA Tony Allen goes to the hoop after holding for 10 seconds and gets fouled.  Makes 1 free throw for a total of 194.  I push this because I also had memphis -10 and they covered, but just stupid idiot, hold the ball and go home.

Needed it after having Utah st -7 earlier today.

If you bet basketball for anything other than fun, it will make you physically ill. I have quit playing games straight up. A couple nights a week, I will pick 4 or 5 games and them round robin 2 or 3 team parlays. I have a couple where I have hit all 5, and at least I usually hit 2 or 3 which minimizes the loss.

A bit puzzled on the BG line movement, the play is square as hell but BG's offense is a well oiled machine. They will get their points, undoubtedly it seems. Also GA So. is coming off a beat down and they're losing their HC and OC to Tulane but I believe they'll be coaching tonight.

onebadrubi

Bowling green coah screwed the pooch. He's coached himself and his team right out of this game.

4th and 9 early in the 3rd and you run the ball?

Rain pouring and Youve not been a run/pass option team but you decide to let your QB continue the run pass gimmicky junk.

It's all to often that these coaches try to outthink themselves. Do what you are good at and see if it's enough.

Last night had monmouth -10.5. They are up 12 with 11 seconds to go, cornell misses a 3, monmouth rebounds.  All they have to do is stand still and the clock runs out. Instead they somehow turn it over and cornell bangs a garbage 3.  Then, I have ill -5. They are up TWENTY with around 14 mins left. They promptly let mizzu have a 15-0 type run, bt tey still are up 7, with the ball, with not much time left. Somehow end up winning on the number for a push.

With a 7 point line movement late, right before the game, you could definitely have ground to stand on in that argument of BG throwing the game and some huge money pouring in on SOGA.

Just a little tidbit I picked up early in the year.  Mizzou is a 2nd half back door covering team.  THey are fade material this year but do it on Fh bets.

What everyone's opinion on this in general? This year in particular...I began to notice late line movement. As in 1-2 hours prior to the game. Majority of the time when I was on the opposite side of this movement I lost. Is there a correlation with late line movement and winning/losing?

For example...say I got a line at -6 the night before and then an hour or two before the game if had moved to -3 or -3.5, I knew I was SCREWED. Anyone else noticed this?
Thanks for the F Shack.

My thoughts only here jkstock,

If I take a game at -6 and it moves to -3 and nothing has changed, I'm going to put a little more money on the -3.  If I liked a game at -6, and you are changing the score a full score I am jumping on it.  If the move is from -6 to -4 I probably will just stick with my already placed wager.  If there is an injury or something else then I may look at a total to try and recoup some money or just let it ride.  I try my hardest in football not to buy out a bet unless I can get get a full touchdown difference, and that would only be trying to middle.

Now, going the other way, after the giants game on sunday, I was taking the vikings on monday no matter the line.  I think it opened -4, after Beckham suspension it has moved to -6, I am still taking the vikings.  I like the vikings at whatever the spread is on Sunday against the giants.

I've tried to understand line movements but you just never know what is going on behind the scenes.  You can have huge money move a line, happened to me late on Navy vs Houston when houston qb was named starter about an hour before the game.  You can also have vegas bait you with a line movement and I think that may have been what the Bowling green game was yesterday (or you have the BG coach was on the take).  There are websites that supposedly track money on each side of a game, but in reality I am not sure i believe them fully.

There are also many people who gamble for a living and have ways of getting 100,000-500,000 on games.  Most of these guys place their bets before game day but they can place a wager late to move a line, just not often.  I see no way those sites can track these types of plays.

jkstock04

You are probably right, it may just be a superstition I developed this year because I was getting hammered so badly.
Thanks for the F Shack.

The world is on SD state tonight and the line is moving down, similar to BG.  This is just weird.  Everyone knows that guy that makes cases for games being fixed and what not, I tend to think those guys are lunacy but there is some solid evidence being put up so far this bowl season and I fully think this game tonight will be another, unfortunately.

1st things 1st
Tonight I got UCLA -5.5 (hook), and over 62.5 (hook)

2nd, I goofed. The pick'em contest I entered isn't ATS, it's just picking SU. My g/f called me from work and I gave her my picks over the phone while I was looking at Sportsbook because I misunderstood and was picking ATS. When she gave me the copy of the pick sheet I noticed it. So far, I've got an 11-5 bowl record in the contest. Here is the sheet she brought home on Christmas Eve with my picks.

In addition to the UCLA bet today, the only additional games I bet on are the original 7 games I listed here:

Ohio St -7***
Duke +2  W
Washington -8  W
Bowling Green -8***   L
North Carolina +3
Auburn -2.5
Michigan -4***

So far, I'm 2-1 those games, and 0-1 in the "big money" games I marked.
