Quote from: MuskogeeHogFan on Yesterday at 10:48:26 amAnother good breakdown focusing on WR's. Some are running very good and crisp routes. Bobby's timing doesn't seem to quite be there yet but routes look better than last year most of the time.

I'll watch the video later but the routes not being there doesn't surprise me. I expect it might not come together until Fall Camp.

Quote from: ErieHog on Yesterday at 09:30:26 pmNot really, no.

You have fast turnover in NIL organizations, because the environment is so competitive, and Arkansas let itself fall behind, and fail to adapt.  Then, when it does adapt, its implied that its to hide financials.

If you are talking about my post I'm not implying to hide financials. I questioning why be so secretive?

Right now the narrative is we are behind and failing. No one will drop money into a loser. So best to show you aren't losing. Baffles me why the secrecy.

Quote from: Captain Hogthrob on Yesterday at 08:05:26 pmLook at it from the schools/coaches perspective. If you show someone you're whole polk it makes them naturally want more of it. You don't go to a car dealer and start negotiating by showing all your financial resources.  You know why? Because if those guys (salesman ) do their job they're gonna want all of it they can get. Not saying it's right or wrong, I just think I understand the secrecy.

That is short term as they have to file their taxes which then has to be made public. Trey said something that made me wonder if a bunch of these collectives are heading for IRS hot water. Capone couldn't be taken down for murder but IRS nail his ass. 😎

Quote from: hogsanity on Yesterday at 08:05:05 pmWhen were those founded? Their 990 tax returns for 2023 aren't due yet and if they file an extension won't be due until Nov.

A quick search showed One Arkansas was founded in 2022.

Middle point as well.

Quote from: husker71 on Yesterday at 07:30:24 pmI will be contrarian today and ask "what if we had much more in NIL than they were suggesting we have"  Playing poor poor Arkansas while they scrounge for more and more??  Not saying this is happening BUT in how things are today is it possible??

I think the counter would be we lost portal players last year due to not enough NIL. Or weren't willing to pony up.

Quote from: hogwood on Yesterday at 11:58:08 pmI'm not sure, but IIRC it was more of a bag man problem.

I recall Brazile was actually actively talking to Nelson about playing together.

Another player from tonight's game that would have been nice to get to the hill was Harrison Ingram. We recruited him out of high school and were one of his top schools. I'm not sure if we went after him in the portal or not.

We got to get these kinds of players to the hill this off season.

Yes, it was well known that Grant was looking for the best NIL deal. We were not ever close.

This is the protective sentiment when everything else seems like darn.

I'm not an expert but I've noticed the same thing in the route running. Much sharper, precise cuts. I have noticed over the years that the ones that get regular separation really pump their arms and bring their knees high going into the cut. Broden has looked really good to me so far.
