I sure hope this deal improves the SEC officiating. It has been horrible for some time now.

Sad that as big as the sec is in football we can't get our own group of officials. Officials where are games come first and if there are games elsewhere in the region in a different night they can officiate. Not sure how getting AAC refs (odd the AAC has their own) is higher caliber. Again it's just sad in my opinion.

Not only that, but using other conferences refs creates a chance for misconduct and manipulation of game outcomes toward the benefit of the "home" conference.

It's crazy that the SEC doesn't have its own pool of refs. I believe even the SWC did back in the day.
