Per Jake Trotter ESPN. No expansion candidate could generate a supermajority.  What a disaster of a conference all but ensures that the Big12 wont survive past the Grant of Rights expiring.

that is a big mess. they did re-institute the conference championship game, so there will be a clear cut winner this time. 10 teams is definitely too low, 14 is too high imo. 12 is just right. wish we could kick a&m and misery out.
