every year we see horses that could not compete at OP (or ran bad) go to smaller tracks and dominate at good prices.  I notice WRD is open and that is a good starting point.  Be aware that these are normally going to WRD, Indiana Downs then out to Moutaineer and Fonner and Charlestown.

Indiana Downs is a nice track..  I will be in Minneapolis next month I was hoping Canterbary would be open but it opens 2 weeks after I am there.  I did notice Praire Meadows opens the 27th and I might stop in there.

How about the Sunland Derby on Sunday?

Won by Hence, last start was a nonthreatening 7th at 23-1 in the Southwest Stakes on Feb. 20

Paid $23.60 on Sunday.

Three others in there also made their previous starts at Oaklawn and finished off the board. Odds were 7-1, 11-1, 23-1.

A $2 bet on each would have cost $8.00, would have netted $15.60.
