My recruiting expectations have gone way up for 2014.  They were quite tempered for 2013 due to the entropy we had to endure the whole year.  I just hope he can keep the staff intact for one year.

Good stuff Tomhog. In addition to a commitment list would love to see a 2014 Big Board or Pig Board if you will. +1

Highlights for commits.

Rafe Peavey - QB

Bijhon Jackson - DT

Juan Day - RB

Very impressed with Juan Day! This kid should be a 4* before it's all said and done, particularly since he'll be the featured back now that Altee is gone. Is there a reason why Rivals and Scout haven't even rated him yet? Looks like an SEC back.

How many recruits will hold off committing to Arkansas until late September, just to see how CBB and staff are doing?

Juan will have to blow up at a camp this summer or have a monster Sr year to get to a 4*. Being the feature back will help him though.

I don't follow recruiting that closely. Question for those that do.  How does one service have a guy a 4* and one have the same player not ranked.  Does that simply mean they have not seen or had time to look at his film or what?
Let's make some waves.

Absolutely.  If a service has evaluated a recruit, there will be a ranking.  The ratings often don't agree, with one giving a 4* and another 3*, but they never stay unranked if evaluated.

All services have had to run on lean principles.  They have cut their staff down in size, thus you will see a lot more unranked recruits than in years past.

Thanks TH.  A Bielema staff will recruit better than any staff we have had.  No offense Coach Broyles, Holtz, Hatfield or Ford but this is a new day and age.

Jackson is being bumped to a 90/4* on 247.

Aaron Medley the #2 kicker ranked in the nation by Kohl's Kicking Camps was on an unofficial visit last week. They rank for ESPN, must be legit kid. He's ranked #3 punter also.

Here's his profile on their site with his video.  Looks good.

He is a good one and is 1 of the 2 kickers we are looking at.  He has picked up offers from Oklahoma and A&M recently.  The other one we are looking at is Austin McGehee from Pine Bluff.

Some people may not have jumped on him because he wasn't the premier back last year. He was splitting time with Tenpenny last year. Now that he has NLR to himself watch his media exposure rise.

As of this am Arkansas is 25th on 24/7 and in the 30's on Rivals and Scout.  About where we are every year.
