Quote from: Razrpig256 on Today at 09:03:47 pmVery much Arkansas to get four stud LHPs to campus in the 2023 class and only one of them pitches this year

We technically got five with Fisher, Dietz, Hachman, Holland and Smith.  The amount of arms we will have returning is just insane to think about in both the sophomore and freshmen classes.

Keep in mind, the two deep turnover year over year is not actually different now, than before.

The average time a player has been her has dropped from 2.6 in 2010 to 2.2 years in 2024. If you look at a year like 2008, we averages 2.3 years on campus.

So, let's not pretend like this is something drastically different. The vast majority of our roster are still players we recruited.

However, for those aiming to dismiss that difference entirely, even a 0.1 year difference over 100 players is still 10 person years (out of like 400)

The lack of time on campus is certainly a change big enough to feel, but nothing demonstrably different. If you were already thinking about quitting college football, it's certainly enough to push you over. But, if you were a big fan? Probably doesn't change to into a non-fan.

Quote from: sasnakrafan on Today at 10:38:18 pmHonestly the artist speak out against it, but it's possible they are in on it. You can't put a face ticketmaster so you are mad at it, but it isn't a person per se'. What's funny is I remember receiving a check from ticketmaster about 15 years ago bc congress found them guilty of charging exorbitant amount on fees. Apparently it was just a slap on the wrist because they're doing it again but way worse now.

I was in queue this AM and was number 16,xxx but never got to buy and it queued me up for 1PM sales and it was all re-sell and cheapest were $150 in the outfield and anything on the baselines near the outfield is $275+.

TM is the devil.

They had another one at 1pm even though all the tickets had already been sold? Basically ensuring people would just markup and resell what they just bought? The executives of these ticket companies belong in prison.

Or they practiced them all week and couldn't get them right.

Quote from: ukchingy on Today at 03:47:52 pmYou also want to keep in mind that it can work itself out. If you think about it, right now its still new and boosters are like here take my money and make things good! But rich people expect to see results for their money, in a couple of years if the results aren't there they will pull back on what they give or it will dry out a lot. Rich people won't give big money consistently without the results. So over time, it will average back out.

Then how do we explain the continued $$$ being poured (figuratively, as concrete, for expansion/ boxes) at RRS IN LIGHT of the mediocre football product since... 2011?

Quote from: onebadrubi on Today at 01:39:04 pmall ticketed events now are catered to these ticket websites.  I can not quite figure out why they keep catering their models to those.  You have seen a few singers come out against it, but that is really it.

Recruiting Forum: Kirk's Korner / Re: Snaxx Johnson
Last post by Spookytooth - Today at 10:32:16 pm
IF that's true (that NIL $ was lowered due to Snaxx NOT being 1st team after spring) AND that he entered the portal because of that, it says a lot about everything.
1. SNAXX ain't got no heart to work hard to get that spot (& $$) back.
2. NIL is a contract-ish, but if it is THAT dependent on the depth chart , this early, then it's far too volatile to be counted on.. marketability of the player is often.. THE PLAYER him or herself.
3.The player, if connected to a specific deal, and not just getting cash like a duffle bag in Blue Chips, ought to be more involved with the sponsor.
4. As has been said, this system needs some guidelines and checks and balances. it is amazing how wide open it is
5. how come we don't get to know exactly what the players make but somehow the players know what the players make? I guess I need to check the FOIA situation on this..
