Utah beats Missouri by 18 sans Michael Porter Jr. Will be real interesting to see if the star freshman is at the Advocare next week in Orlando.

The Tigers were cold from the tip. Point guard Kassius Robertson insisted MU's poor shooting to start the game wasn't the problem. Mizzou missed its first seven shots, 14 of its first 15 shots and 20 of its 25 shots in the first half. For a while Utah wasn't much better, shooting just 6 of 20 through one stretch.

"We were in the game even though we weren't shooting the ball," Robertson said. "It wasn't about shooting the ball."

Maybe so, but this was a jump shot game for the Tigers, minus successful jump shots. Thirty-six of MU's 52 shot attempts were jumpers, including 27 behind the 3-point arc. The Tigers connected on just nine of those jump shots — and just two in the first half.

"We got open shots and didn't make them," forward Kevin Puryear said.
