Notre Dame will spend the rest of the season without leading scorer Jerian Grant. He's no longer enrolled because of an academic issue.

Needs someone in the people helping business.  Would be eligible this time next season, unless he has a relative who has had recent illness and lives within 100 miles of campus.

Averages 19 ppt and 6 apg for Irish.

Texas A&M has landed a commitment from SMU transfer Jalen Jones, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Jones averaged 14.0 points and 7.8 boards in 2012-2013, but made the decision to transfer out of SMU in November in what appeared to be a dispute over playing time.

Jones finished out the semester with the Mustangs and will enroll in College Station when the spring semester begins.

Sophomore Texas Tech basketball player Dusty Hannahs asked for a release from the program Monday and the team will grant it, according to various media reports.

Hannahs will be permitted to transfer to any other school other than those in the Big 12 Conference, according to a report from the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

His decision was first reported by RedRaiderSports.com. Hannahs later tweeted about his decision to leave. He asked for his release after spending part of this past week in his hometown of Little Rock, Ark., during Texas Tech's spring break.

Thank you to the fans who have supported me throughout my 2 years at Texas Tech. I will always love this place & I hope you all understand

Hannahs committed to Billy Gilliespie.  The shooter had been relegated to lesser playing time on teams Tubby Smith inherited in the past including the 1998 championship team.

Good name! Like how he plays and his spirit, but not for a year coming off his injuries. Plus it's pretty safe to assume he's headed close to Georgia.

22 blks total  on the season while playing nearly 27 minutes a game for 30 Games. 0.7 blks per game for 6'9 260.

11.7 pts even with nearly 237 attempts compare that to  6'6 230lbs Koty Clarke had 238 shot attempts avg. 10 pts a game.  0.5 blks per game.

Kingsley had 49 blks while getting 11 minutes a game.

Sean Obi would be a valued rebounder & space eater but at most getting Trey Thompson minutes 7-9 per game averaging 2-4 shot attempts and no blks.

Lol at people who think kevin ware is a good player. He's a a household name because of that savage injury, not because of his game. He averaged less than 2 ppg.

I saw someone hint that he was going to Auburn and that was a sign that Pearl was getting them back in a hurry. Hahaha

Well before the injury he played 17 minutes a game on a national title team. If he somehow got back to that form I'd be glad to have him.

As far as transfers, I'd like a pure point guard..mainly just so our fans can shut up about that for awhile.

Former 4*, top 100 player nationally, coming from a top 5 national program?

And you're laughing because he's "no good?" You must think Keaton Miles is "no good" as well.

Here is a graduate transfer, that I would take in a minute.  From Arizona, played HS ball in Indiana,so I'd say probably a long shot, but if we're looking for guys that are positive role models, with great work ethic, that could fill some guard minutes, look no further.

Who isn't a streaky shooter on our team? He gives max effort, and I think he'd get better shots in our offense. And it's not like he is just a perimeter specialist.

No....I didn't mean to compare him to anybody on our team or say I didn't want him. Actually just the opposite. I would take him in a heartbeat no doubt about it. I was simply pointing out he can be streaky but when he is on he is on.

A bit more on wing Quinton Chievous' impending transfer out of #Vols program: (FREE) http://bit.ly/1pXAV4V

IIRC, he averaged 10-12 mpg at most

Updated report: He will transfer outside the SEC.

Chievous, a 6-foot-6 Chicago native, appeared in 31 games for Tennessee the past two seasons...

"We have enjoyed having Quinton as part of this program for the last three years," Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin said in a UT sports information release. "He's worked extremely hard on the court, and he has also matched that effort in the classroom. He's on track to graduate in three years, which is impressive. His Tennessee teammates and coaches wish him nothing but the best, and we expect him to make an impact wherever he lands."

Chievous also released a statement through UT sports information, thanking Martin and Tennessee's players for his experience in Knoxville.

"I want to thank the university, Coach Martin and the staff here for giving me an opportunity," Chievous said in the release. "It's a tough decision to leave Tennessee, but I feel like it's the best decision for me. My teammates here are like brothers to me, and we're all really close. I'm definitely going to continue supporting them."

Chievous will be released to any non-SEC program he chooses, and the Vols are now guaranteed to have at least one extra scholarship spot available for next season, and they'll have two spots available if All-SEC forward Jarnell Stokes forgoes his final season of eligibility and declares for the NBA Draft.

New Ole Miss blog post: Derrick Millinghaus will transfer from Ole Miss http://on.thec-l.com/1g8x01T  #olemiss

Point guard

Derrick Millinghaus ‏@Asap_Millzy ·Apr 9
I want to thank all of the fans for the love and support the whole time I been apart of Ole Miss Basketball. Time to open up another chapter

Millinghaus played in 30 games last season for the Rebels (19-14), averaging 6.6 points and 2.3 assists in 18 minutes a night. But he was suspended for three games late in the season for what was termed a violation of team rules by Kennedy.

When Millinghaus returned he was barely in the rotation, playing 14 minutes between the team's regular season finale and two SEC tournament games. It was a continuation of a trend for Millinghaus, who started nine games of Ole Miss' first 15 games and played more than 20 minutes in 12 of those contests. But after going 5-of-17 from the floor in 37 minutes against Mississippi State on Jan. 11, Millinghaus played 20 minutes in just more game.

Millinghaus will still be known forever in Ole Miss lore for his play in the 2013 SEC tournament, making a floater in the final seconds to defeat Missouri in Ole Miss' first game. Had that shot not gone down, Ole Miss' season ends in Nashville. Instead the Rebels won their next three games, including the SEC tournament championship and a first-round NCAA tournament game.

No other players have been granted their release, though Kennedy was honest at the end of a postseason-less season about his desire to improve the roster.
