What do "You hope", is the first play call for our offense

     I hope it is a play-action pass to Williams down the right side. This does 2 things. It shows LSwho that we aren't predictable{moves their linebackers to their heals} and also shows them that Monk isn't our only receiver. God I hope I'm right!

since it was i hope and not what we will likely do, i would like to see a play action pass too. Not sure that they won't be ready for it though. Monk or Williams doesnt matter to me. If the coverage is MTM i probably go with monk though.

I want to see DMac get a handoff, and go in the hole between the Center and Right Guard-- for an 80 yard TD.  This will send a message early that we won't be denied on the ground, and will force LSU to commit to the Line of Scrimmage, opening up opportunities the rest of the day.

Over the middle to TE or sideline deep. Then if it is incomplete, pass it again, since passing is a higher percentage play for the first down, but do it with no huddle (assuming we don't complete first pass).

We are not the same team that lost 50 to 14, and the reason it was 50 to 14 wasn't a thread on hogville, for the most part it was 3 FUMBLES  AND OUR OFFENSIVE PLAY CALLING. Along with some bad D mixed in.

I don't want to see Dmac get it at first because they will be expecting it and fully charged and will gain momentum when they stop him for a couple of series. We need to try some other things early(hopefully a pass play) then let him loose and destroy them. Misdirection is where it is at, just ask Gus. Do just like we did to auburn with an early strike to open up the run.

That would run past their defense's average rusing years allowed of 76 yds/game right there.

You all are dreaming.  Its gonna be D-Mac over the right tackle out of the I formation...and you know it.  Ya'll know we seldom pass on first down...thats too risky for Nutt.  But, if this is a "hope" type deal...I'd like to see us go for their throat first play of the game....I'd like to see us go deep to Monk or Crawford or Williams on a post route.

Whether or not it's the first play...we need to hit a few passes over the middle early, right where a linebacker should be. A few 20-30 yard pass plays and LSU may have to re-think their defensive strategy.

I would hope that the first play would be an onside kick that we actually recover.  Then the first play be a Touchdown pass to Monk.  WHy MOnk?  Because it'll force them to double cover him causing all of our talented young speedsters to open up.  Then they'd spread back out.  But by the time they got used to being spread out, we've got another TD on them with DMAC.

I would call a pass to Hillis over the middle on a slant. We did that against Auburn early in the game, where Hillis went in motion towards the side of the field, and then on the snap, did a quick slant across the middle and was wide open. Nobody expects a fullback to be able to run a slant pattern........that's what I would call.

I'd like to see a reverse to Felix Jones for a touchdown, or McFadden right up the middle for a 80 yard score.  But who are we kidding?  LSU's kicker will not kick the ball deep enough nor will their special teams stop us short of the 20.
