What does everyone think of him as a potential coach?  He led UTSA to their first bowl game in their history.  They are already 3-1 so far this year including a win over Baylor.  He's also one of the best recruiters in the country.  He would be able to get more kids from Louisiana no doubt.  He won't be at UTSA long and IMO he has a bright future.

Who knows? Might just be what the doctor ordered, but as a HC he's a huge unknown. Would the PTB be willing to gamble like this? He certainly has the right recruiting acumen. Will people hold OM and LSU time against him?

That's correct. I caught myself right after I posted it.  As far as sanctions go.  Yes they did. But it was proven by the NCAA that Mark Hudspeth had nothing to do with it.  It was David Saunders, A ex Ole Miss coach.

I agree he won't be at UTSA long. Definitely someone to keep an eye on.

we had a guy with more experience, didn't work out for us.   if we wait until a coach is proven, then someone else already got them.  they said the same thing about franklin, then PSU picks him up, and is successful and we have zero chance of getting him.

we are going to have to take a risk on a high energy up and comer and let them make their name here at arkansas.
