Hard to argue with this, although I believe it to be circumstantial. 

Lou Holtz?  Ken Hatfield?  Nutt?  All made moves at the time that were lateral at best.

Now, Arkansas assistant coaches?  Completely different conversation!

Lou Holtz and Ken Hatfield both left due to Broyles interference with the program. They've stated it multiple times. Nutt was fired so he's irrelevant.

Nope, Norvell is the man. He showed me against Houston. Before that game I was touting Major Applewhite, but totally changed my mind after that game. Also an Arkansas boy fom UCA, this be a destination job for him.

Really?? Lets look at the last several coaches:


5) Houston Nutt: Although largely derided by us he left AR well respected in the football community in general. Won 3 SEC West division titles. Left AR for another lucrative SEC West contract where he proceeded to nosedive. Arkansas was easily the peak of his career.

I thought Nutt won 2 SEC West titles.

My vote:  Chip Kelly

Chip Kelly is a good coach but the FBI & NCAA may not be through with him.  His "show cause" may have expired but it's still on his resume.

The three top choices should be, Chad Morris, Lane Kiffin and Norvell. All three are succeeding at programs that usually don't win, know talent and have successfully recruited in the south. The best fit is Morris who would greatly improve our recruiting in Texas.
