too many people that claim to be Hog fans are so negative about any and everything . i wonder if our fan base can ever be united again. this makes me very concerned as well as sad. oh, and my answer is 1.1  thanks for the venting.

1. Anyone who considers themselves a hog fan should support the hogs. period.

1.  I like a fresh hungry face.  I was never too keen on some old burnout, just looking to fatten his already swollen wallet.

Muschamp could very well be the next Orgeron.

Everything matches!

Or the next Bob Stoops.  Is it a gamble?  Yes.  At the risk of sounding cliche, when you are a marginal player you have to take big risks in order to win big rewards.

He's "hungry", "fiery", "young", "fired up", "physically looks better than other candidates".  All emotional responses.  Patterson is a proven winner who can recruit Texas.  He should be our next coach.  I agree that Muschamp could be the next great thing, but he could be the next not great thing.  At this point in time we dont need to take a chance.

1.  Very happy.  My first choice was Petrino, but I never saw him coming here anyway.  Believe WM will do great.

Ditto.........the guy is a great recruiter and as you saw with the MF video has a strong fire burning in him......who will be the OC?

hogtusk

I'll go with a 1. My only concern would be the staff he assembles.(Maybe why the announcement hasn't come yet?)
Life is full of uncertainty, but I could be wrong about that.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

hillhog

If it ends up being Muschamp it could be good. He is defense. Now maybe he would bring in a good oc and let him do his job without interferring. Not like what we have been subjected to.

We have been waiting all this time for this???  We are the 15th richest program and we can't do better?

1 all the way!!   BOOM!!!!!!

major_hog_fan

1, I would be really happy if we get Muschamp.

respirback

3, dissapointed but if he is named head coach I'm behind him.

Pathological

2.  How well will he recruit?  Who will his assistants be?  Until these are answered, not by anyone here, but by evidence supported over time, I will support him as coach, but hold off on my crowning of him as the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Grateful Hog

The sheriffs a near!!! Oh wait, wrong thread.

1. Extremely happy. (Until he proves otherwise, it will be nice to have something to be optimistic about.)

PLAYBOAR

1.  I'm optimistic by nature but I also get the feeling that Muschamp is the type of coach who will do whatever it takes to win.

I think he's a risk, but a good one.
Hey Ref, does your wife know you're screwing us?

prairiehogcompanion

The question appears to be: After two weeks of begging, have the dysfunctionals finally hired an assistant coach?

Pathetic.

GusIsOmniscient

Dudes, he is NOT a good recruiter.
I don't know where that **** came from.

Venables, however, is an excellent recruiter.

There is no way to know anything for sure in these searches. But let's say that tomorrow Will Muschamp is announced as the new head Hog, I am curious to see what the initial reaction will be.

I'm giving you three options (of course, feel free to explain your reasoning).

1)Extremely happy

2)On the fence, taking a wait and see approach

3)Disappointed
