were just bad.  Yes, they had some appropriate calls, but wwaay too many absurd whistles (no walking??? Are you kidding me??).  Oh well, we don't need those calls... yet

yeah there were 7 seven fouls called not even 3 minutes into the game.

That was terrible. Does that dude have a vendetta against Steven Hill?!? That was horrid calling!
Safe is boring. Sweet insanity is the voice saying "I bet we can fit one more in there."

it really hurt the rhythm of the game.  Dont think I have seen that many calls for the coach being out of the coaching box.
To borrow from Mark Twain, there are three kinds of lies:
lies, darned lies, and the UA Athletic Department.

The refs really hurt the flow of the game in the first half.  The players on both teams seemed confused about what the officials wanted.

I agree. These guys looked like refs for some high school games I have covered--or worse. If this would have been a conference game, the fans would have toasted them, and their calls might have played into the outcome of the game.

On a bright note, Pelphrey is DA MAN!

It is was nice to see a coach actually get upset when the refs were dropping the ball.   Did the NCAA mandate the official make a point of the keeping coaches in the box?

Yes.  And that cursing be more penalized, too.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Supposedly, refs are supposed to be calling the coaches box thing a lot closer this year; at all games, not just this one.  I think I read that in the Demozette or something.  IMO, not a bad idea - I'm sick of seeing that deranged LSU coach prancing around the court and not drawing a technical.

agree with keeping the coaches in the box. the ref's still stunk the place up.
