They have some good places to buy peanuts and fruit on US 49 on the way to the Gulf.

Catfish farms.

Hammil's in Ridgeland has a great homestyle country cookin' buffet with excellent ribs, fried chicken, chicken and dumplin's, banana puddin', greens, cornbread, peas and other good stuff.

11/19/2023:  Keeping my original semi-prophetic, apocalyptic signature below.  We continue to regret passing on Norvell, who is in the running for the Playoffs.  We continue regret passing on Kiffin, who is eyeing a New Years 6 game.  Heck, we regret passing on Drinkwitz (he may be a dork, but he will have his team in a New Years 6 game after they truck us on Black Friday).

Meanwhile, Sam is drinking Pittman, wondering if he has the leverage to re-hire Enos, Sexton is doing the triple Lindy into his Olympic-size pool full of cash, and thousands of hog fans are planning to dress up as empty seats for next year's Halloween game.

11/25/2018:  My original "Chad Morris" signature is below.  I'm modifying my view as follows:  We will continue to regret passing on Norvell and Kiffin.   After 3 years, when Morris is 10-26, we are going to be saying "What were we thinking?  Even Bert was better than this!"

The girls of SEC in this years issue is enough to get em another year in the union.

It looked great in Rearview mirror when I moved out of Biloxi.

It does a good job of keeping the Mississippi River from going to the Atlantic.

I lived there for 10 years after college.  I can honestly say they have a much better public mental health system.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

My sister-in-law came from Mississippi...but she's a MSSTATE fan.

Oh, and they have the best Doe's restaurant.  It's way better than the one in Arkansas.

I can testify that most drivers in Mississippi are very courteous and friendly.  Very much unlike the PRICK in the blue minivan who sent me sliding through the median at the I-40 / 30 interchange in Little Rock Wednesday afternoon. I didn't get a look at his plates but I'll bet they were from Texas !
