My brother was an usher at the Auburn game, working one of the handicap sections behind the Auburn bench. He claimed most of the fans in this area were very vocal about their dislike of Nutt. Many arguments and fights broke out between Huggers and haters with a hugger being escorted out of the stadium.
Personally, I wish you didn't attend the games, but if you did, what was the crowd like in your area? Was it overwhelmingly hostile towards Nutt, or was it just a few vocal fans causing problems in your area?
I want to hear what the mood was in your section, and were there any issues the ushers and authorities had to deal with?

UltraRedDeltaNinjaForce

Me... student section... 'nuff said!

PaleHorse

I thought the crowd around me was actually better than normal - more into the game than sometimes in the past.

Everyone stood most of the game, were loud when we were on defense.  Our fans aren't as bad as some in the bac makes us out to be - we all know it's time for a change, but most still show up and yell on game day.  I hope it doesn't come have to come down to a boycott to make the change happen.

kitshicker

It seemed less vocal to me than it was at the Kentucky game.

DEVICEHIGH

The crowd around me was sedated until the 2nd half when and few started yelling at Nutt. Then everybody just started laughing at them.

The crowd around me was into the game and cheering on the hogs.  There were also zero black shirts that I saw in my section.

hawgwilde

Nope, but I did sell my tickets on StubHub! :D

Lots of complaining about the play calling.  Didn't hear too much about Nutt by name until the end when there was a lot of comments about that being the nail in the coffin.  I heard that and the words "0-3" several times as we were filing out.

MrsPiggy

I seriously heard one person remark "well we just need to run the tables now and be 8-3 going into LSU"

most people in the section I was in seemed resigned to what was going on...complimented the defense and said there was nothing to cheer regarding the offense. a few people did yell during the game "try a pass" but nothing obviously anti-Nutt

Smokehouse

I was there with the band, and it seemed that until the drive when we finally scored the crowd wasn't as into it as usual (and then they got way to into it and wouldn't shut the !@#$ up.) The student section sat down a lot more than I've seen them do in the past. Generally most of the students near the front stand the whole time, but about 50% sat down anytime there was a break.

Me - West side 40 yard line.

After the game, I didn't hear much booing.  It reminded me of the 05 Vanderbilt game.  When the game was over, the fans were in shock asking themselves if they really saw what they just saw.

More shock than anything else.  No AWE.

The first thing I heard today was that he grew up on a pig farm. That's quite a start in my book. And my last memory was watching him hang 70 on Nebraska. Just those two facts are enough (for me to like him). Then, I hear that he's out of the Hayden Fry-Bill Snyder-Barry Alvarez coaching tree. Oh, that's enough for me to like a lot. Then, I hear he's got a 27-year-old wife. Okay, we can stop. I like him.

Auburn was my one and only game of 2007, and I only went because I got free tickets from a vendor.  Frankly, the only reason I went to this one was because my teenagers were begging to go to a Fayetteville game (their first).  We will not go to another game, which is easy, since I didn't renew my tickets.

As for Section 121 (Red Zone), I saw no black shirts, but I heard plenty of foul language about the offensive ineptitude we saw.  It was directed towards Nutt, and it surrounded the QB issue and the play-calling.  It was pervasive and was all very sarcastic.  Like many on here, when the time came for noise and cheering, there was plenty of that to go around, too.

Hogs-n-Roses

I sat in the Indoor club, east side for the first time ever. Wow, this is and awsome area. I heard some disgruntled people prior to the game and dead silence after. I did notice a large sprinkling of black shirts on the other side and lots in our area as well as black pants on the sidelines.

HognotinMemphis

I was in Sec 219, south endzone club seats. Was there from start of 2nd quarter until start of 4th quarter then left to go back to tailgate when score was still 6-0. The folks around me were pretty quiet...not cheering too much and not jeering either. Only thing I noticed was a few people near me making loud comments about playcalling and heard one say he'd be glad when Nutt was gone.
I don't want you to agree with me because you're weak. I want you to agree with me because you know I'm right.

I bought tickets from a guy in Alabama, so obviously I was surrounded by orange. There were also many hog fans around me and we were all displeased with the play calling. Everyone could call play after play. We're so frikin predictable! There's no one I was sitting next to who wanted Nutt there anymore. I mean honestly, Auburn didn't have their best defensive player and they still stop the run. There is no way in he11 Nutt's going to be here next year...no way!

KAHog

I sat in an extremely Pro-Nutt section.  Comments about how great he utilizes talent.  How they hoped he retired at Ark, got rid of that distraction of a qb and coach, etc..  Did I mention I was in the Auburn section?

MsNuttsandBolts

We were not at the game. We actually had to go to Texarkana for the weekend. We went to a local sports bar to watch the game. I was suprised, but the locals there hate Nutt. They showed a view on TV of a guy with a t-shirt on the said, "Houston, you are the problem." The whole crowd broke out cheering. What a sad time to be a HOG fan.

warchalker1

i was in pig heaven and there was NO nutt supporters in our section.

RzrbkJohn

I was in the south end zone 3 rows up and didn't see much black, only sprinkles here and there.

I think the crowd was much more subdued than the Kentucky game.  I think fans are now expecting us to suck.  How sad.

I really didn't hear much booing, but there were a few extremely vocal fans showing their disdane for Nutt.  Although I agree with them 100%, they did make the game un-enjoyable as much as the performance on the field did.

I'm skipping FL Int'l but will be ther when S Carolina undoubtably beats us.

As we were leaving the stadium to the south, someone was playing "Taps" on the trumpet.  Very haunting and very appropriate.

Section 123 end zone

The people around us really, really wanted a win but once again our fearless leader could not deliver. Most people stayed calm, complained about the play calling again, there was one person that was yelling and screaming ugly things, oh wait that was me, but for the most part everyone knew what play we would run and who would carry the ball.

I think we are all just numb !!!!!!!

Yeah, I was right there in front of the fraternity house he played it from. He did a great job and it was very appropriate. That kids children deserve better!

PiggyBack

I was on the home side, on the 50, row 19, seat 312.

Aside from one hugger girl, everyone around me was outraged at one Houston Dale Nutt.  One fan stood up during a TV timeout, when it was nice and quiet, and yelled:  HOUSTON, WE ARE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION AND YOU'RE EMBARASSING US!!

I yelled:  "HEY HOUSTON, I LOVE THIS PRO STYLE OFFENSE!"  I got a lot of laughs and "amens" from everyone except the hugger girl in front of me.

Aside from that, I heard of lot of "pathetic" and "Junior High" and "I miss Gus" and "He's (Dale) got to go."

I think the tide has turned, friends.
Huggers react to facts and reason the way Linda Blair reacts to holy water.

The playinjg of Taps was appropriate.  EVERYONE walking to their cars was talking about it.  Sweet gesture.

PorkBus

I sat in east pig pen heaven in section 513.  The people around me were the same old farts that are there every game.  They bitch when my buddies and i stand up and they don't participate much other than the cursory applause after a first down.  Usually when my buddies and I are cussing nutt like a yard dog they tell us to settle down. (which is usually followed by louder cussing of nutt) but saturday they didn't bitch about us voicing our disdain for the MSM.  I guess you could say their silence was an endorsment for what we were saying.  Needless to say, the people around us are generally neutral but saturday, by their standards, they were hatin' on nutt more so than usual.

Junkyard Hog

The crowd around me was complaining the whole time.  Mainly directed at Nutt, Lee, Herring, Richardson, Norton, Dick, and the Offensive Line.

tkp

This is my take on the game. This was the first game I have attended this year (season ticket holder..just out of town for most of the other games) There were a lot of disgusted fans in my section 40 yard line row 15 eastside. It was a sorry game and all of it is to be put on HDN. The Oline can't block worth a damn, but if you look at the type of recruits he is getting for linemen you can see why they can't block. Linemen have one job and that is to clear a path for DMAC and Jones, but my son's Jr High team blocks better than the entire o line of Arkansas. I will not go to another game until we get someone up there that can actually coach and RECRUIT players.

Hahahaha, nice one.
I support the Razorbacks in the city that never sleeps.

Oh one more thing.. Went up to a friends skybox and very very unhappy crowd up there.

V B Porkers

Outdoor Club sec 223 about the same as MIM has already explained. We left when we down 6-0 to go home. The game was very boring. I thought play calling for both teams was terrible.

I was too drunk to pay attention to the crowd.  I had to often squint one eye to see what was going on on the field.  My wife said it was one of the few times she was glad I was too drunk to see because the game was terrible to watch.  That was my WIFE.

My apologies to anyone in section 116 that I might have offended although my wife tells me I was quite tame.  I do remember being asked to sit down at one point because i was standing up cheering a Hog first down.  That made me mad but I refrained from commenting to my elders.

Peace,

alwaysondbigscreen

even worse than the crowd is the fact that we sit directly behind the recruits, and the 5 seats in front of us were EMPTY. dont know if that means anything but we have sat there for years and never had so much room to stretch

I wasn't at the game, but here is an outsider's view of what it looked/sounded like on TV:

I thought the crowd seemed pretty loud and into the game.  I did look for black shirts and saw a few.  Not sure I would have noticed if I hadn't been looking for them.  I noticed the "Houston we have a problem shirt."

I heard lots of boos for Kodi when he went in.

Devil_Dog

i was in the Auburn section...all they did was crack jokes about arkansas which were pretty funny to " Thats another Arkansas Razorback........4TH DOWN"

nutt_h8ter

My section was full of black shirts!  Nothing but black... that could be because I was smart and stayed home!  There were 2 empty seats that I know of, maybe there will be more and eventually the rest of the Haters and Huggers (soon to be haters) will catch on!  So much for that winning season we were promised!  Oh to have Malzahn, Mustain, Williams and Norman back...  oh yes, and the HUNH offense!  Something different than 1st and 10-up the middle, 2nd and 10-to the left, 3rd and 10-to the right...  4th down - PUNT!  What a coach!

centertonhog

No support for Nutt in my section...Bubba Hog was being his usual self and was more entertaining than Lee's play calling...

Justicar

Half-way up section 102 - not exactly pro-HDN, but not anti-HDN either.  These folks were actually mad at the O-line for not blocking for Dmac and scoffing at how lucky the Aub D was.  All that changed after the personal foul calls - most everybody around me became very pro-HDN and started making excuses about the poor officiating and how many injuries we had as justification for the outcome.

Understanding is a three edged sword - your side, their side and the truth.

Hog in MO

Everyone was sleeping in my section.  It was hard to get into that game - just nothing happening and no faith that anything was going to happen.  A few grumbles here and there but a majority of the people around me just sat there on their hands because they had no confidence in the offense whatsoever.  Apathy is starting set in.  I sat in that stadium throughout the Danny Ford era and that same vibe from back them is what I was sensing this past Saturday.  Its not quite there all the way, but I can smell it coming.

Hogblog

Outdoor Club - Section 212 - Die Hard Huggers left early.....they were even disgusted.........I noticed most people weren't even paying attention to the game until we scored. We were calling the plays before the snap. Guy next to us, who was given tickets for the game, asked how we knew what the plays were going to be before the snap..........my brother told him that with Nutt there isn't much guessing........several around us agreed.

Conway4Hogs

Yes I attended the game as a season ticket holder in section 124 but it will be my last trip to the hill this year !!!!

NO...  Went to the stAte game....  Went to see a winner.

My area was quite calm. Everyone agreed with me and laughed a few times when I would very loudly call the play before DMW did...and be right about 50% of the time.

Wow, you are bright, my 3 year old can do better than 50% with any football game.

She can get 75% right with Nutt just by yelling run every time.

I thought the crowd was more hostile at the U of K game.  I saw a couple folks almost get run over by SUV's while leaving the stadium after UK!!!!!  Lots of yelling at HDN during the U of K game in section 108 not much last weekend............except for me.

Sec. 224 South End zone- quieter than the Ky. game but the "drive" did ignite everyone, but it was somewhat anticlimatic knowing that the D had been on the field the whole darned game due to the ineptness of the offenseive play calling. To sum it up: Apathy has taken over.
Have you ever listened to someone  or read what they put into thoughts and wondered...."who ties your shoelaces for you?"

Most notable thing I saw was a lot of empty seats. Any time we play Auburn at home and there are that many empty seats should be a wake-up call for our new AD. I sincerely hope the message gets thru. The fans are sick and tired of Nutt and until he is gone, there will be no peace in Razorback Land.

I'm curious about the empty seats. Was it limited to the upper sections in the corners, or more widespread? The press release said attendance was around 72,000 plus, or near capacity. Wouldn't put it past them to inflate the numbers, but I couldn't tell watching the game on TV.

hirebutchdavis

The nuclear meltdown is about to happen.  A loss this weekend and we have no chance for a bowl game.  You win the two cupcakes, but that's four wins.  You lose to Miss or Ole Miss and then you have to beat Tenn, S.C, or LSU.  lmao.  I want to go to a bowl and play Tulsa damn it hapless don't let me down.
