2 of the better coaches in CFB currently.  I'd love to have Jim Leavitt in Fayetteville, but I think he'd be crazy to leave Tampa.   65,000 expected at Raymond James Stadium tonight, first sellout in school history.

West Virginia is the perfect example of what we could be if the PTB in Arkansas sports gave a flyin' flip about being competitive.

Pretty sure this is one of the best stories in college football in some time. 11 years in D-1 and they are selling out an NFL stadium.
With that being said they should still take it on the chin tonight. Either way a great story.

I still look for them to win their 2nd straight against WVA.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Look what they have done and what Arkansas has done in basically the same amount of time.  They went from nothing to 18th in the nation in 11 years.
Meanwhile, we are still swimming in a cesspool of mediocrity.
Again, it shows what motivated athletic departments can do.

AND before all the nutt pundits run their mouths about USF playing in the Big East and Arkansas in the SEC....stifle that argument....they have already beaten Auburn, something we likely will not do....and if USF played our schedule,  they would win more than we will.

ouch! shouldn't of taken that over.  WV just hasn't looked sharp yet this year.

Both offenses have struggled so far at times,  but both have a lot of big play potential.   That said, I bet the Under.

USF has an outstanding defense;  last year, White and Slaton combined for less than 130 yards rushing against USF in Morgantown.

Oh, and the national leader in QB sacks plays for USF.

Game of turnovers.

Inasmuch as WVA is hanging around despite being dominated, I suppose.

USF's defense is definitely giving their team an opportunity to win.

South Florida would $hit stomp us.  Leavitt would make Nutt his biotch.  By the end of the game Nutt would be in full sub leather with Leavitt leading him around by a chain.

Leavitt and RR could both take dumps and the dumps would be better coaches than Nutt.

The game is not dissimilar to last year's USF 24-19 victory over WVA;  there are more turnovers tonight, but they're doing exactly what they did last year to WVA in the trenches.

A bit similar to McFadden's TD last year on the screen pass v. Ole Piss.

I'd love to see them get games with Miami, FSU, and Florida.

Honestly, in another 20 years, could you imagine a new super-conference with

Miami
FSU
USF
Ga. Tech
Clemson
S. Carolina
Florida
Georgia

That'd be the core of a nasty conference;  before you say it can't be done,  think of how much change we've seen in conferences in the past 20 years.   They'd never have a trip longer than the trip from Miami to Columbia.

Hekuva run.

I think the 2 4th down attempts speak to a potential weakness that could cost WVA games; they have as much confidence in their place kicking this year as we did last year.

This game looks like a D1 Grambling vs Jackson State, except I see some white legs and arms sticking out of the uniforms. 8 turnovers in the first half, are you kidding me? Without a doubt, there is some talent and speed on the field. SF has come a long way since we beat them and they had a hotshot QB. I look for them to be NCAA investigated before long.

The way their hanging with the #5 team does'nt make Auburn look so bad.

Hawgin84

It must be nice to have timeouts left when one needs them!

You know, I think this stretch without White may actually be a little beneficial for WVA;  they've had most of their success running power series inside with Schmitt.   If they can score here, it may serve to keep the defense more honest,  if White can come back later.

Scratch that;  you gotta handle the snap.

As odd as this may sound, Lou is right;  that center's bad snaps are partially due to his getting whipped at the point of attack all night, and trying to get a good start off the ball to reach the defender before the defender gets to him.
