Deon has offers from Louisville, Ark. State, & Tulsa. CBB has visited. We'll see.

His teammate Avery Johnson is also getting a look as well. Avery can play both sides of the ball.

I believe Stewart will be one of our WR signees this year.

I think there's a good chance both Highland kids get offers
RIP LSUfan

I'm thinking they will have to go to camp to get offers, but who knows? When has Highland ever had 2 D-I players in the same team?

Probably the first time ever. Sterling Stowers is playing at ASU. Avery Johnson is a player as well. Both have a legitimate shot at offers from UofA.

I think Stewart will get an offer and Avery is recruited as a preferred walk on.

Avery might be one of those kids, who they wait till November or December to see how his season goes. But he would be a great option as a preferred walk-on.

Yeah, I could see him getting a late offer. He's a quality player and great kid.

The Recruiting Guy

I expect Deon to be the next commitment

I like both of the Highland guys.

Deons highlight video says he's 160 people on HV won't like that.

But I like Deon...and I'd like to see Avery at Safety.

Watched them both live a few times and Deon is the better prospect IMO.

http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/1783116/#highlights/104170378 This is Avery's HUDL from this past season. Yes he has a 42.5 inch vertical and would be a good safety or if he put on 15-20 lbs could make a great OLB. He is also a standout in basketball and track so he doesn't get alot of offseason work in for football. He won the 4A state high jump last year in the first year to compete in it. Both these young men are quality individuals and wherever they go to school they will excel not only on the field but off as well. That being said I want to see both wearing the  :razorback: next year! WPS

The difference in the two when you attend a Highland game. Stewart can disappear. Avery never does. Always hawking players down forcing fumbles, making tackles, ect. Yes better suited for defense. Also Stewart may be a better defensive back.

BrassNunchucks

Was going to say, Stewart looks like he'd be a good fit as a CB/return guy. He's athletic and looks to be at least 5'11

ckhawgu

Looks like they've had their eyes on these two guys for a while now:

I hope they both end up with the hogs! WPS!!! :razorback:

The games I went to it was the other way around.

So is Highland where Highland Dairy is located?  I'm 39 and lived in Arkansas most of my life and never heard of a town called Highland until these guys started getting cruited

@ 33 seconds, who is that linebacker #32 that kid is massive. Gosnell I believe is who they're playing against

Found him. Carlos Blackman c/o 2016 listed 6'1 205 (looked bigger to me)

Stowers walked on but I don't recall seeing him on the roster recently.  Two kids from Highland having D1 offers in one year is pretty surprising.

If he wants to play at Arkansas he most likely will.

Looks like a camp guy as far as numbers go. Watching him play his camp or combine numbers are way higher then what you get out of him on the football field.

It's his polite way of saying he'll be a wolf. I agree, I don't see Johnson getting an early offer.

No, he could end up anywhere.  Point is that he is going to get D1 scholarship offers and is very unlikely to walk on anywhere.  Don't try and turn my words into something they are not.

He is also a running back and one heck of an athlete and should be looked at. He is listed at 6-1 212 but looks bigger on the field. He reportedly runs a 4.5 40.

Its not a school record! Hes performance tied a school record that was set in playoff games back in 98. Two different RBs had 6 TD proformances the same year in the state playoffs. I work with one of those guys

Yes I know that. I was thinking the 377 yards was a school record but it's not. 393 is the record by Marcus Mullins in 2013.
