Was this that kind of win. Was this a win for doing things the right way and building great men or was it just a win for a football team?

Wait.... I thought you had to be a hard ass who hates and shits on his players like Saban.  I thought you couldn't treat these kids like family.  You had to process them, pull there schollies on signing day, or ship them off to UNLV..... unless they are a starter.

Thank god for Dabo.  Nice to see good guys finally win.

Saban failed tonight and I'm [CENSORED] happy.  He should have treated his players better.  I hope Byers gets to avoid being Philon'd.

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

this was a win for idiot proof 7 on 7 football.  It was a great game but it pained me to watch it.  99% of the time Clemson was in empty set 5 wide with pick play after pick play.  Or the 1 second drop back chuck it up and let a giant receiver jump over and through the DB.

I didn't care who won the game but I just don't see how people expect defense to be played when the offense is allowed to do the things that were done in this game.

that isn't football.  Might as well take the pads off and get rid of the lines.  I mean soon as I heard Big 12 officials I knew it would be offensive leaning calls. this meant no holding, no offensive PI, etc.

You may not like it, but it is what the game is, and will be, particularly with the emphasis on removing contact from the game.

He's won 5 NC's...he's top 3 best all time. Just give him credit where credit is due.

I agree with the poster who said they were using illegal plays. I wish they had the official in the booth comment on those pick plays instead of just the plays that were reviewed.  It happened to Notre dame against FSU 2 years ago when the irish scored a TD late in the game to win it but the official called a pick and it nullified the TD.  Very similar to the first Clemson TD pick play.

having said all that I think Bama gave up on the run way too early.  Harris did not get enough carries.

And I will take Saban over Swinney any day as a coach although Swinney is just about as good a recruiter.

Find some of the threads about how that guy with 5 titles can't coach.

It'd be funny, if they weren't the same fans who can't get over us having any struggle whatsoever.  If we hired Saban and he had an Alabama like run, they'd call for him to get fired, because he 'can't coach'.

I don't watch much college ball other than Razorbacks or some other SEC games, but I have never witnessed receivers running rubs and picks with hard contact like Clemson was doing tonight, with total impunity.

Is this the norm today?

Its easier to win multiple titles.  Like it or not, Alabama is still the better program-- and when Momma calls, then you just have to come running.

He can't ruin his Clemson legacy, and can step into a football factory that dwarfs Clemson.   It'll be a risk- following a legend always is-- but he'll do it.

College sometimes.  Depends on crew. This is like the illegal oline downfield these spread offenses exploited.

LK has run them at Bama.

Hopefully this will get cleaned up and spread offense will have to find something else
