We're tied with TCU (at +2) for the best round of the morning flight.  Of note, we shot 9 strokes better than host Oregon, who we were paired with.

Most of the higher ranked teams (we're #21) are just now starting their rounds, but regardless of what they all do, this is a VERY solid round and ought to give our guys confidence heading into round #2 tomorrow.  BTW, early in their round, #2 Texas is taking on a lot of water.  They still have time to right the ship, but I'm loving their early failure!

When your #5 is T4th overall you got to be feeling good.......

Just wish that Eugene Country Club wasn't the course being used this year.

Need to have the NCAA Championships on a better course such as the following.  These would be very good for collegiate Match Play.

Prairie Dunes (the Men's Division I NCAA Championships was held there in 2014)   Probably the best set of greens in the world.

Finished round one tied for first. Very good day.

Yes - edited subject line to reflect the fact that their early lead held up at the end of the day.

Play has started on Day 2; Hogs, who were among the early starters today, won't play until this afternoon.

Sitting at 3rd just a couple strokes out of first.  Not bad.
I need to be more like my dog...if you can't fight it, screw it, or eat it, then piss on it.

All we need is to finish top 15 today, and in the top 8 after tomorrow. It's match play after that, so the scores are thrown out.

Struggling today, plus 7 on round & tied for 6th. Team is on last 4 holes.

Thank you for posting the link to the real time scoring. Have been following the past four days.

Looks like we're not going to make it, barring a great finish, and someone else clunking it down the stretch.

No, they're not going to make it.  Hate to say it, but we spit the bit today.  No one stood up to be counted when the Championship was on the line.  As I type this, we've got the WORST round of the day by 3 strokes.  Even a mediocre team score would have had us making the cut for the top 8.  But all of our players tanked.

Very disappointing result for a team that usually starts slow but them picks up momentum.  Opposite happened in this tournament.

You're welcome.  BTW, the final round is now on live on the Golf Channel.

Really need to do some tree cutting at Eugene Country Club.

When trees basically turn a Par 3 hole into a dogleg, then there is a tree infringement problem.

Quit your whining.

Quit your whining.

Not whining.  Just making an observation.

Some problematic aspects going on at Eugene Country Club.

Home course for the University of Oregon-  Is it really a surprise that an Oregon golfer is leading the individual competition?  So much for choosing a site that doesn't give an unfair advantage.

Spike marks on the greens-  Very noticeable on the T.V. coverage.

Tree infringement problem.
