Hard to argue with this.  The D-line is getting destroyed in this game.  And held quite a bit.

i'm not necessarily calling for his head.  BB gets to pick his assistance.  The defense just needs to get better soon or I won't be supporting BB as our coach.  Hell the defense doesn't even have to get better.  i just expect to win and we aren't.

Firing him will send a message to rest of staff that if you don't produce you don't have a job. Sec is a cut throats conference. There is no room to get too close to assistants. Business first.

What bret's grade? Better yet, what are bret's responsibilities on game day? He doesn't call offense. He doesn't call defense. If he can't even call a timeout on 3rd and 1 before the play clock expires then he might as well grab some popcorn and a lawn chair and watch football.

That and Charlie is probably smart enough to avoid this defense.  Imagine next year without Ellis, Wise, Ledbetter, Collins, Taiwan Johnson, and Lewis.

Now that I say it, with better coaching and scheme we might still improve.
