Smoked a half a pork loin tonight. Rubbed down with meatchurch's honey hog rub and glazed with a mixture of jalapeno peach jelly/garlic/lemon juice/fresh rosemary. Cooked a little more done than I prefer but I got distracted. Still juicy though.

Quote from: GA reddiehog on April 16, 2024, 07:44:38 pmPitching over hyped and hitting nonexistent is going to make for several loses here on out. Maybe it will not be as bad as the BB team. Lack of hitting has been a problem for many moons.

I have gonads, and as soon as my wife gets back I'll prove it.  I keep 'em in her purse. >:(

Okay, you are right, I should have done that first instead of going off of what other people said was said.
So basically all my complaining was for nothing and I'm a dumbass.  I should have just watch the presser BEFORE commenting.

Smoked one last week and had forgotten how good they are.  Didn't go to quite the trouble you did but rather bought one of the Cajun Marinated ones at the Supercenter.  Cooked it at 325 to an internal temp of 150 and pulled it.  Darn good and better yet, fairly inexpensive.
I need to be more like my dog...if you can't fight it, screw it, or eat it, then piss on it.

Yeah I load up when they are on sale and throw a couple in the freezer. I usually cut them in half and cook half as a loin and slice rest into thick chops. I think the one I thawed and cut yesterday was 20.00 and it was a 10/lb loin. Cheap for the amount of food you get.

Good looking cut of Meat.
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

I need some of this peach/jalapeno jelly. Peach just takes it to another level.
