I have an issue with my CD/DVD drive.  I have USB ports on the front of my machine and have been using them for my flash drive.  I noticed that the letter assigned to this was D which has been my CD/DVD drive in the past. 

I put a CD in the drive this morning and nothing happens. (when i go to my computer it does not show a D drive at all if there is a CD in)  Any ideas?

Disconnect your flash drive before you use your CD/DVD drive.  I had this same issue.
