My PC finally just got the point that nothing worked . To make a long, sad story short, A friend of mine finally installed Win XP Pro version (not the home version) and things seem to be working fine. I downloaded the Nod32 antivirus, and I'm seeing how it works.

My problem is that I am getting no sounds. CD won't play sounds, links won't play sounds. Nothing. Any advice?

Update your drivers.  Go to your manufacturer's website for EVERY bit of HW you have and get the latest drivers.  Make sure they support XP.

Thanks. Did it. Works. Now I can HEAR porn, not just watch it. LOL
