Second team for McGowan.

First teamers--
6-3 5A guard Monta Ellis, signed by MissStake.
5-9 3A guard Kenny Dawkins, courted by Auburn, MTSU, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
6-6 4A guard Courtney Fells, signed by NC State.
6-6 4A forward Roderick Ollie, courted by MissStake and Texas A&M.
6-2 5A guard Jeremy Wise, likely off to prep school but recruited by Hogs, Tenn, MissStake.

No big men worthy of first team?

Second team--
6-7 5A forward JeJuan Brown, a junior.
6-8 5A forward Donaries Hair, signed with Middle Tenn.
6-8 5A forward Cyrus McGowan, he's ours.
6-1 3A guard Derrick Smith, 30 ppg, undecided.
6-6 4A forward Jarvis Williams, undecided.

McGowan is described as a shotblocker and aggressive rebounder.  He averaged 11 ppg, so scoring was not the reason why he made all-state.

So McGowan will actually be 6'7" when he gets here kinda like the supposedly 6'6" but really 6'4" Dontell Jefferson?

mcgowan is only 6-8?

If he's 6-8, then Charles Thomas is actually 6-6 1/2 because seeing them side by side and on the court before the Texas game last September, they appeared to be 1-2 inches in height difference, McGowan being a little taller and much "longer" in arm span. He was slightly thinner too. But he was meaner. He wasn't afraid to mix it up with the guys already on the team, I'll say that for him.

Charles Thomas is 6-6 1/2.  Apparently McGowan has some hops too, which Thomas doesn't.
