Guess he'll get a statue now for committing to their program.  That's the requirement these days to get a statue in AL or FL.

Dirty

Time to call and audible.  Going from 36 to 35.  Good Luck!

He's a duel-threat QB who would probably thrive in Auburn's system, but when he gets to the next level he may regret this decision.

Time to move on

Well, at least Arkansas coaches can move on and focus their efforts elsewhere.

Listed as a pro-style QB.

Still, one can never go wrong with excrement at a time like this.

Break & Run

College football ticket = $250

5* QB for Auburn = $250,000

Watching Auburn get the Hammer from the NCAA =  PRICELE$$!!

Sorry Zeke, you just made the worst mistake of your LIFE.

All the dirty Auburn stuff aside. I wonder what happened that made him go with Auburn.

He must have seen something he liked. We are all homers but I just don't understand the decision.

Without Cam Newton Auburn would have fallen short. They must have sold him on being their next work horse.

The_Iceman

If anything big on Auburn comes out before signing day, he can still switch.

aredwolfrazorback

how is this a shocker? A** U wins the national championship, had a huge QB that runs people over who was also a Heisman winner, Pike announces just a couple of days after visiting the plains. Kids dont care about trouble. Also, regarding the other QB that just committed to aubbie, no way in the world would that scare someone out of committing. i think some of you do not realize the egos these kids have whether they are actually better or not.
With all the beers and all the cheers, I'm a hog fan for the rest of my years.

Peppa Pig

Isn't this that trouble-making thug that likes to throw footballs at officials??  He'll be lucky to stay out of jail long enough to make it to campus.

Plus I think I heard on ESPN that he recreationally uses drugs, he's a statue in the pocket, he's not a leader, he was a drunk at Michigan, he's a poor decision maker, he's a nazi sympathizer, he chokes at crunch time, and a bunch of other horrible things.  I think it was this guy.  I know it was some QB.

Probably made the money transfer a lot easier.

I hope we can keep the criticism and cheap shots at Pike down IF he picks Auburn or another school other than Arkansas.

He is still just a kid in high school.
Well, it's like I said, his choice would prove his character, or lack there of, and it did.  $$$$$$$$$
BE AFRAID!!  Be very, very afraid!  The Hogs are hungry and you look a lot like lunch!

TouchdownRazrbcks

With him knowing the pay for play allegations, if allbarn goes down, I hope the ncaa is smart enough to tell him NO if he wants to transfer...

I just don't get it! :-\

Auburn BUCKS ze Pike. That's why BP backed off and I'm sure there was a bidding war between them and TN. Its a shame we don't have boosters that can or want to blow 200k on kids to play football for their school..
If we did WalMart, tyson and Hunt would buy one nice team.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride! Hunter "my buddy" Thompson

Hogsfan1981

Oh well moving on. Hopefully Auburn will burn by then or Gus will move on. Anything as long as we don't have to deal with another Cam Newton winning games by himself.

But then again after Newton hopefully SEC coaches will be more prepared to deal with QBs like that.

To bad we fell short last year but we still almost got it done with a backup QB.

Break & Run

Gus can burn with Allburn because he is just as much to blame with all these recruiting violations as ANYONE.

He must be thinkin' he's gonna get him a trophy room like the Camster.

Good luck Pike against everyone but the Hogs

Seriously, how does the Shiloh/Gus disciples feel about this? Gus is bringing Frazier in to sit the bench behind Pike for his whole career.

Kenny Dowell Loggains

I don't know why this is a shock to anyone.

1. AU just won the National Championship
2. Heisman QB winner that is basically the same style as Pike
3. Gus, the coordinators and their little shi**y limo that will come pick you up.
4. "36" is all you have to remember for your play, maybe Petrino's system was too complicated for him.
5. Obviously they pay players... anyone who's been paying attention to Cam and his dad's little "San Diego condo Rolex wearing" ways knows the truth about the alleged $180K

Kenny Dowell Loggains

Maybe one day when Petrino and staff start cheating and paying players, we will start landing the top recruits and winning NC's

maybe he's more comfortable with Auburn's 'high school' offense rather than learning the pro system?
( "just read the card we hold up, Zeke." )

kennedy

He ran an offense VERY similar to Gus's in high school...he has visited Auburn several times..this is no shock...he was always going to Auburn.

Oh goody!  He gets to keep running his high school offense in college?  As if that is a good thing...

Some of us thought he was a little smarter than to choose a school where he'll be running a high school spread offense, since he said he wanted to play in a pro-style offense.  Also, if he wants to get to the NFL, Gus' Shapes and Colors offense isn't the best way to prepare yourself for that.

We just gave him too much credit, I guess.
