On the team page of 24/7 under the star ratings of recruits there are four dots that are either red or gray.

Jeremy Patton has four stars but only two red dots. Daulton Hyatt and many others have three stars but four red dots. Josh Paul has three stars and two dots. Ryder Anderson has three stars and three dots and so on.  The stars are self-explanatory.  What do the dots mean?

I think it shows how many of the big four ranking services have ranked them.

correct. the grade is an average, the dots are the sample size, which is capped at 4 b/c that's how many services there are. So with Patton, he's a 4 star on 2 services.

I didn't realize ESPN had Hyatt ranked so high. He's their #6 ranked pocket passer.
