Women Razorback sports / Re: Twitter Talk of Mike Neigh...

Quote from: Hog007 on Today at 06:59:20 pmJust curious. But what's the deal with MN wife? If anyone can respectfully summarize the situation. Id greatly appreciate it.
According to Arkansas Code Title 21, Section 21-8-101, a person related within the second degree (by consanguinity or affinity) to a member or employee of a state board or commission cannot be eligible for appointment as a member of the board.  Apparently that doesn't not include coaching positions but it should.

I don't know how much coaching the wife of Mike Neighbors does, but considering how much many husbands defer to their wives, I would not be surprised if it is considerable.  Regardless, players signed up to be coached by Coach Neighbors and may resent being coached by his wife, if that is in fact what is occurring in Ladies Razorback basketball.

Quote from: Arkiehawg on Today at 06:45:34 pmFor those that may have any questions about our nemesis behind the plate....I listened to our radio broadcast while watching the game and they gave him an A+ for his calls today.  They said he may have missed one call.

I saw pitches at the ankles called strikes. More than once. I was not a fan of his zone.

Also, anybody think how different the game looks if JSL catches that ball at 3rd. For sure a double play and maybe a triple play. Little things. Great win today.

I think your observation about Wood may be spot on. Hadn't thought about the personality amping him too much for a starter. Next year maybe.

Tygart benched for rest agaisnt A&M, pitches game 1 of sec T on 50-70 pitch count.  In hopes he's strong and good for day 2 starter of regional.

I'd like to see Hagen followed by foutch then Gabe keeping both of their pitch counts down to come back following day of rest.

Start Bybee and leave wood in the pen to follow him.  I'm afraid woods style and amped up part won't go well as a starter.  He has a long time before the game to let that mentality drain him emotionally.  So make him first man out hoping him and Bybee get you into the 6th or later.

Leave Molina alone

Hewlett used more in big spots mid game.  Lefty or righty.

Quote from: Bash on Today at 06:51:21 pmI said I'm pretty good at coming up with slogans, not great.  Cut me some slack man. I needed time to think.

And I'm a slow typer.  It's taken me 19 hours just to reply.

Laundry? Dishes? Really? I'm a man.

I don't do those things unless the wife tells me to.

Sorry I baffled you.

I just don't think I move Gaeckle. It's awful late in the year to stretch him out.
And he proved today finally he can go in one day rest. So having him twice is a big deal. And it takes some pressure off McIntire.

I think based on Van Horns words that Wood gets a start. tygart has handled bullpen work before so hopefully he can again. Maybe from the bullpen the pressure will be off a bit not having to give us 5 innings. Maybe he doesn't even pitch more than an inning to rest.

I was hoping to see ByBee do better yesterday but assuming we have a top 8 sewn up then I can see him getting another shot next weekend.

I assume it will depend on bullpen work this week between Wood and Tygart. I think Molina will still get his start.

faherty intrigues. I expected to see him pitch more this weekend and he only got 1 inning I think? And I would like to see our lefty specialist get more than 1-2 batters

Wood certainly starts for Tygart. Tygart goes to the pen where I think he could really make a difference. I just can't lose Gaeckle in the pen so I don't know what I do with Molina. Maybe I take a chance with Bybee and hope for 4 or 5 passable innings which is more than we are getting now out of Tygart and Molina. I'd really like to know if they have some nagging injuries.

Quote from: LameImpala on Today at 05:10:24 pmWhat a heady player.  Been making plays his entire career, but that play today, getting the out on the walk was huge.

Can't wait to see what he does the rest of the year!

A real shame he missed games last and this year because of injuries. He hasn't made an error this season which is quite remarkable. Got to be a 1st rounder in the draft.

Mathematically impossible to finish tied with A&M without a game cancellation. We are 19-8. A&M is 17-10. If they sweep, they finish 20-10 to our 19-11. If we win 1 & they win two, we finish 20-10 to their 19-11. Obviously, if we win more than one, the gap is larger. The point is, if all three games are played, somebody wins the West outright.
